Description: The Hotel Golden Rome , is a recently renovated late 19th century building located in the Veneto area of Central Rome, about 200 metes from the beautiful Villa Borghese Gardens. The closest Rome tourist attraction are the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain.
virtual tour company RomanLife 2 cents: One of the true good value budget hotels in Rome (bear in mind that it's difficult to plan a budget holiday in Rome). The hotel Golden offers excellent service and is a good base from which to explore Rome.
See a map showing the position of Hotel Golden Rome Italy and other hotels in the Veneto area of Rome . We also have a page dedicated to the Veneto area maps, things to do, transport, shopping, nightlife etc.
The hotel is 33 kilometers from Fiumicino airport (Leonardo Da Vinci Airport) and the taxi takes 45 - 50 minutes (traffic allowing) for a standard fee of 40. From Ciampino airport the taxi ride is 40 - 45 minutes and costs 30.
We found Hotel Golden Rome through the Rome hotel reviews on the internet and were not disappointed. A great little virtual tour company family run reasonably priced Rome hotel in a perfect location. virtual tour company My wife and I went to Italy to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and the Hotel Golden provided us with a great room (bigger virtual tour company than we expected for a hotel room in Rome), nice amenities and helpful staff. They even provide a computer to use at their desk. The bed was comfortable and the hotel rooms were nicely furnished. virtual tour company We took advantage of the airport shuttle transfer service and they were waiting for us at the airport as promised.
The breakfast is more than adequate (baked goods, Italian meats, cereal, fruit, coffee, tea, etc.) and constantly replenished by the attentive staff. The reception staff, mostly family, gave excellent Rome dining suggestions and transportation advice, and their Rome map that they hand-marked with the hotel and other Rome tourist spots was what we used most of the time. The location (just off the Via Veneto) is close to the Villa Borghese gardens and gallery, virtual tour company Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and pretty much all the main historic sites in Rome. It's only a 5 minutes walk to two Metro stops (Barberini or Spagna) which are easy to use and convenient to many places, including the Vatican City an St Peters. The price is excellent, especially virtual tour company compared to other hotels in the Veneto area of Rome. We highly recommend the Hotel Golden Rome Italy, good Location & value.
We stayed 5 nights at the Hotel Golden in Rome Italy, and by the end of our stay in Rome, it felt like saying goodbye to family. The hotel is located in a very nice neighborhood of Rome, the Via Veneto area, and close to the Borghese Gallery, Spanish Steps, and Barberini metro station. virtual tour company Very easy walking to Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona - or else you can take the Electric tram (I believe the #116) which also stops close to the hotel.
The hotel staff gave wonderful advice on Rome transportation, eating, etc. and arranged our reservations to the Borghese Gallery and our tickets for touring Tivoli. The hotel rooms are spacious and the bathroom was big and beautiful. Everything was sparkling clean, fresh, and very comfortable. The morning breakfast virtual tour company in the dining area was always freshly prepared, well presented, with not a thing out of place. We never left hungry! In addition, 24-hour free internet service is provided virtual tour company with WI-FI throughout.
I definitely recommend the hotel golden Rome - it's in a beautiful area amongst other Rome hotels that cost at least twice as much! Even so, you couldn't replicate the personal touch that the staff give to make your Rome trip that much more memorable. I hope to return soon.
We stayed virtual tour company for two nights at the Golden Hotel Rome at the end of September 2008. Rooms pretty were quite ordinary but the location and the friendly staff were great - and who spends much time in their hotel room in Rome anyway. We felt very safe walking around the Veneto area at night. The staff were really helpful with directions and Rome transport etc. Well worth a visit for your next trip to Rome. Good Rome restaurant - Il Pomodoro we had a lovely meal there - pasta and fish with zucchini and we were surrounded by huge local Italian family groups on a Sunday night. We had a helpful waiter whose English was good and he helped us choose our meals.
We stayed at the Hotel Golden October virtual tour company 2008. We arranged a shuttle service from the Fiumicino airport to the hotel which helped eliminate a lot of stress. The hotel room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. We were also provided bathrobes and slippers to wear. There was a delicious breakfast each morning including cereals, fruits, meats, boiled eggs, pastries, juice and coffee.
The Golden hotel is family owned and operated and they all were so helpful. They recommended places to eat close by in the Veneto suburb and helped with directions and a map of Rome tourist sites. The family went out of their way to make our stay in Rome comfortable. The hotel was one block from Via Veneto and within walking distance to most of the Rome attractions. Our problem was Rome is not very accommodating for people in wheelchairs so it was tricky trying to maneuver Dad around. We fell in love with the family and the Hotel Golden Rome.
We chose the Hotel Golden Rome Italy based on the price and the great hotel reviews we read here and on the internet. The hotel is immaculately clean, safe, and comfortable, and the King Size bed was wonderful after a day of sightseeing in Rome! The hotel staff was extremely helpful at all times and the breakfast was very good. The location is absolutely perfect, very quiet for sleeping but easy walking to most Rome historic sites (if you can walk for 30 minutes) or else take the Metro, there are stops nearby. The Spanish Steps are a 10 minutes walk, Trevi Fountain 10 - 15 minutes walk, Pantheon 15 minutes walk, Colliseum and Forum 25 35 minutes. We were very nervous about choosing a hotel in Rome, however this was a wonderful choice that we made. When we return to Rome we will come back to the Golden Hotel Rome.
We stayed at Hotel Golden Rome one night after our cruise. It is on the 2nd floor of a building that is over 200 years old, with a cage elevator from the 1930's, nice touch. We were early and didn't expect them to have our room ready, but they did. It was a king size bed room for two across from the desk. My sister had a single down a long hallway. Our room barely fit the bed as it was a small room. The bathroom was modern, virtual tour company but a "squeeze". It was a very clean and the bed was comfortable. The single room is extremely small, so if you are claustrophobic, this is not the room for you.
The whole family run the hotel and they are nice and always helpful. They gave us directions to the Rome sights restaurants and a big grocery store nearby. The breakfast in the morning was prepared by the Italian mother who bakes her own bread. They arranged a shuttle for us from the ship in Civitavecchia and it worked out very well. The restaurant they recommended was great, il Pomodoro, and right down the street. virtual tour company Dinner was at La Bruschetta, with good spaghetti with Alfredo sauce (don't let them serve you bread, it costs 7 Euros). Overall, a great location and a very nice family run business.
We stayed 3 nights at the Hotel Golden Rome Italy at the end of a 2 week trip to Italy in March 2007. A lovely place, not only is the hotel completely non-smoking (my primary reason for picked it), but the family that runs it goes out of their way to look after their guests. We felt very welcome, the service was first class! I loved the bathrobe and slippers to relax in.
Their recommendations on Rome restaurants were wonderful as was their advice regarding virtual tour company Rome public transportation . We were there with our 2 year old, and they were very helpful about how we could best travel with her in her stroller. The shortcut to the Metro at the Spanish Steps (Spagna) was particularly appreciated on a rainy day. They also called to set up reservations to see the Villa Borghese Museum. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. All in all a wonderful experience, and we hope to stay at Hotel Golden Rome Italy again.
The Hotel Golden Rome is rated a 2 star Rome hotel, but the service and room we had are 3 or 4 star. The Hotel Golden occupies the 2nd floor of an apartment virtual tour company building. There is no lobby, restaurant or concierge. You have to be buzzed into the building, just like an apartment building. It has a good location in the Veneto district, one block from the Villa Borghese Park, and one block from the very expensive Hotels and restaurants of the Via Veneto. It is a very quiet and safe area, very upscale.
This small hotel has about 12 - 16 rooms and is family run. Giuseppe, one of the two brothers, is outstanding and truly understands customer service. He helped us arrange virtual tour company day tours of Rome, and transportation. How many hotel owners would actually help you carry your luggage to the taxi? Giuseppe virtual tour company is a real gentleman and gem.
The hotel room we were given was excellent, a good size, quiet, large clean bathroom with shower. I did not see the other hotel rooms (another guest said her room was small). The breakfast was fresh with a nice variety and well served, although the breakfast room is quite small.
We have stayed at the Hotel Golden Rome twice, at the beginning and end of our trip through Italy. The hotel rooms are very clean, quiet, if a bit cramped, possibly because they were doubles masquerading as triples. The third bed was a foldaway ottoman at the foot of the two twins and took up most of the maneuvering space. The beds were comfortable, the foldaway less so, but my 16 year old didn't mind. The air conditioning was adequate for an intensely hot period in Rome (even the Romans were complaining). The bathroom virtual tour company was extremely clean with robes and slippers.
virtual tour company Breakfast was fine, no slimy salami or warm yogurt, as someone hotels in Italy serve, and there was a wide selection, although the fresh fruit

I have never been to such a dump in my entire life. It was Fawlty Towers gone wrong. The entrance is just a filthy mess with an antique lift...

It helps people to essentially to not worry about owning a vehicle, and perhaps they can spend their money differently such as on local entertainment or going on a road trip. It has a larger impact on the local economy."
“If you want to go a very far distance and not have range anxiety, you would be best to take a hybrid,” she said. “We have four fully electric vehicles. If you take a Nissan Leaf you’ll get up to Squamish and then you’ll have to recharge.”
