Today we woke up to go eat our "Full Scottish Breakfast" as they call it here. The difference from the USA to the scotts is the meat. The bacon is alot bigger and not cooked as long. The food was good, but it is hard for kenny and I because we drink alot of coffee and they just don't. They give you a pot with 2 cups in it and cream is like speaking a foreign language to them! It was very beautiful and had great views of the city. We seen real crowns and jewels (behind glass cases of course). We took alot of pictures there. We were there about three hours and that was about all Mason and Mackenzie could handle. They wanted to climb on the cannons, the stone walls and scale the buildings in a single bound but the Scottish Historical society had one word for them NO! After the castle we went to lunch at the safest place we could find that would please everyone PIZZA HUT! I ate like a pig. It taste the same as at home for the most part. I bet we walked about 5 miles. We went to Holyrood Park which is where the Queen lives in the summer when she comes. There is a park that circles the palace and next to it is a mountain called Arthurs seat. When you are walking down the Royal Mile you feel and it looks like the road dead ends into the Queens gallery and the palace, you turn the corner and the view takes your breath away. The bottom of Athurs Seat (mountain) is beautiful. We have a great view of it from our hotel room but seeing it in person that close up is hard to describe. Even dagan said it took his breath. We have alot of pictures but I am not sure if they do it justice. Everything is beautiful here. Things are so green. We walked around a small loch (lake) in Holyrood park and I bet there were 100 swan's. You could walk right up to them and they did not even pay you any attention. We walked out on the outskirts of the city center and found a TJ maxx and Mcdonalds. Got really excited over the golden arches because I knew they would have a LARGE cup of coffee. And you do not need a car you can walk anywhere. On tuesday we rent a car. that should prove to be the day of the real "Abraham European (chevy case) vacation" driving in the opposite side of the car and on the opposite side of the road. I forgot to add that on saturday when we got here it was like being drunk and driving with the traffic on the interstate coming sheraton south padre island beach hotel what felt like at you. And when you are out walking and especially at crosswalks it is really weird because you are used to looking a certain way first for oncoming traffic and it is reversed here. And i am not sure but I don't think that pedestrians having the right away here is a thought because they don't even slow down. They make u turns in the road on a whim.
