Of all of the places one could stay in the vibrant city of Chicago , the Downtown and Loop hotels make for some of the most comfortable flight and rental car reservations and glamorous stays. But glitz isn't everything; location is also key! That's why downtown Chicago hotels are even more attractive to locals and visitors alike.
The hotels along the Magnificent Mile and the Loop put you within easy walking distance of some of the best attractions that Chicago has to offer. We'll guide you through a few of the numerous options available to you in your search for hotels in downtown Chicago.
This historic 483-room hotel located in the Loop was built in 1926 and has since been a key hotel in Chicago. With a campaign that encourages the visitor to "be a star," the staff at the Allegro will surely make you feel like a star with their full list of amenities and quality rooms. Aside from the typical laundry services, 24-hour valet parking, and complimentary wireless Internet access, the Allegro offers a variety of interesting and unique services. flight and rental car reservations Take advantage of the hotel's hosted evening wine hour in the living room, the on-site fitness center on the fifth floor, or spa services in your own room. The hotel is also notable for its pet-friendly policy for those who can't leave home without their animal companion.
If you're looking for discounted rates at the Allegro, they are available. However, if you turn to online travel aggregators like Hotels.com or Kayak.com for your search for cheap downtown Chicago hotels, you likely won't find rates listed. Your best chance at finding a discounted rate is to check Allegro's website and take advantage of their "Book Early Save Money" rates. As of this writing I was able to find one of their luxurious queen rooms for one person at around $135 a weekend night if I booked it at least 30 days in advance over the Internet. (It shows that the room is normally $179 a night.) Now that's what I call a bargain!
flight and rental car reservations Built in 1924, the Seneca Hotel Suites offers some value to the traveler who is seeing Chicago on a budget . This 265-room flight and rental car reservations hotel is located near the extremely popular Navy Pier and The John Hancock Center Observatory , and it's only one block away from the Magnificent Mile. While not in the heart of downtown, it's easy to get to all of Chicago's tourist attractions by foot or taking the nearby Metro.
Along with clean rooms and courteous staff, the Seneca also offers a wide variety of amenities, including three on-site dining options, full-service cleaners, and complimentary in-room Internet access. The hotel also has a somewhat unique rooftop sundeck replete with chaise lounges and a decent view of the city. Discount rooms can be found via travel aggregators, though the Seneca website occasionally flight and rental car reservations lists room specials and packages flight and rental car reservations that you might want to check out. I was able to find rooms starting at around $135 via Kayak.com as of this writing.
