Of Course!Only a few shops are closed(most are open) all major tourist attractions are open,Liverpool was one of the first cities to embrace this when the Albert Dock was redeveloped in the 1980's.Strangely though, there is no mention on the cruisetimetables website which I usually base my ship anorak visits on..
Carnival have rejigged their round Britain / Norway cruise because of the storms expected in the North Sea this weekend. They have dropped Belfast and opted for Liverpool as Belfast was full on the revised united kingdom flags date
I think that's the point; "any port in a storm" comes to mind. I think they've made the right decision, I wouldn't like to be in between Scotland and Norway come Sunday like they planned originally, it would be like being in a bad episode of Trawlermen!
united kingdom flags A comment from another sad soul who most probably has never visited the fine City of Liverpool, you and so many others drag out a supposed joke that was at best very tired over 25 years ago. Last December I attended a very good talk by a former B A Jumbo pilot on board QM2, he spoilt a very informative and interesting talk by using the same tired remark only this time with a reference united kingdom flags to a plane left overnight at Liverpool Airport, his comment went down like a lead balloon . Going ashore by tender in Canne from the Marco Polo the same tired comment came this time with reference to the life belts being stolen united kingdom flags from the tender, this time by a very coarse yorkshire man who was no way representative of all the fine yorshire people I have met while cruising.
Thirty six years ago I married my lovely wife in her home City of Liverpool, all her large family of decent people still live there and we still visit them often. They all love to tell and listen to jokes , so come on use some brain cells and come up with a proper joke that i can enjoy passing on to them on our next visit.
I read John Heald's blog about the change of port from Stavanger, after I'd noticed the ship going the wrong way down the English Channel on AIS.....apparently 1,500 people cheered after he'd shown them a weather map to explain the alteration. Here's hoping they have a wonderful time.

Ah yes the classic "joke" about missing hubcaps, scousers and supporters of Liverpool are on a hiding to nothing,go along with this so called joke and you perpetuate the stereotype, if you say it's not funny you are hit with where's your famous sense of humour you scousers?Liverpool never was the capital of car crime it was higher than it is now but that was YEARS ago.Manchester united kingdom flags is top followed by Bradford,London Leeds Sheffield etc.If I said I wouldn't like to go to London because cockneys might nick my car, people wouldn't find it funny I'm sure, chiefly because in my view, it isn't .I accept humour is personal but taste comes into and this sort of thing is tasteless in my view,I'm glad I'm not alone.
