The day in Paris is at your leisure. You can spend some time re-visiting the Louvre's fabulous colle
On this superb holiday, see two of the world's most beautiful capital cities -- London and Paris. Experience London's great antique shopping, traditional pubs and legendary theatre. Board a sightseeing coach for a full day tour of London. Drive through Westminster, past Downing Street, to the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. Stop to visit Westminster Abbey, the site of many royal coronations, then continue to Buckingham Palace for the colorful Changing of the Guard ceremony, and on through the busy streets to Piccadilly, home to London's theaters. After passing around Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column. Afterward, head to the Thames River for a cruise to the Tower of London to see the Crown Jewels.
After breakfast, you will be taken to Waterloo Station via private car to board the Eurostar Chunnel Train for your first-class ride to Paris. Upon arrival at Gare du Nord, a private car transfers you to your historic hotel, the majestic Regina, with the Louvre Museum on one side and the Tuilleries Gardens on the other. Paris was created 2000 years ago and began at the Cite Island (Ile de la Cite). The beautiful Gothic Notre Dame Cathedral is located here, famous for its flying buttresses. Visit is included to the Cathedral. Then explore the Marais District and the Latin Quarter. The Montmartre Hill is home to Parisian artists and many of them (Picasso, Van Gogh etc) settled here towards the end of the 19th century. Your coach will take you to the base of the hill, then take the funicular to the top and enjoy a guided walking tour of the village and Place du Tertre. Visit the Louvre to see its matchless art treasures, such as the Winged Victory, the Venus of Milo and Da Vinci's Mona Lisa.
