It was a $15 rental. I don't know if it was worth it but it kept the kids occupied. It only had 1 kids movie on it, Toy Story 1. (I really wish that there were more kids movies. Toy Story 2 would have been nice as well.) The rest were movies for adults. (The 2 that I can remember were: Four Christmases and 500 days of Summer.) There were cartoons but not ones which we were familiar with, there was this one called Sam Sam, one about a submarine, and Code Lyoko.
The headsets that came with it looked like the one's in the picture except they were all black. They were okay for an adult but for a kid, it totally sucked. It kept falling off the kids' ears. I finally aarp discounts on rental cars got it to stay on both kids' ears. At one point, my 7 year old son just watched the movie and laughed at the funny parts even though he couldn't hear what was going on. I had to return 1 of the digEplayers because its battery died. (They really should take the time to charge these things between flights so that they would be ready for customer use.) Oh and on one of the players, the scroll button didn't scroll down.
So we just used the scroll up button to go through the selections. Overall, if you have other things to keep you occupied, don't pay the $15 to rent this thing. It is soooooo not worth it. I mean $15 to rent it on a 5 hour flight where you only get to watch maybe 2 movies. You can watch movies cheaper on pay per view or through renting them but like I said if you have nothing else, it will keep you occupied and not bored on the long flight.
