Wife and I are celebrating our 15th Wedding Anniversary later this year and I am kicking around the idea of surprising her with a week in Mexico. We've done Hawaii several times and dine some cruises in the Caribbean, but we have never done a Mexico trip. We have an inside line in Manzanillio, and go there once a year. I'd go more if we could $ it. There is a 5 star place down there, can't remember the name do a search. the rest of Manzanillio is very nice, if you are not looking for the full on tourist experience.
Playacar Palace in Playa del Carmen. Mid-size, all-inclusive 5-Star resort with beautiful beaches. Nearby the shopping area and the ferry to Cozumel. The nice thing about the Palace resorts is that you can visit each resort for the day if you want. I booked mine through Apple Vacations. Moon Palace is nice, but the beaches in Playa del Carmen are crystal squirt neigborhood cruising guide clear with white sand.
