The grounds around hotel are well maintained and give an air of beauty around the pool, lagoon and ocean. Then the lobby area is very appealing too. There is a Concierge room with snacks and the Italian restaurant Donderos. Beds are amongst the most comfortable you will find anywhere and some say this hotel and Hyatt generally outshine the other major hotel chains, Marriott and Hilton. And I have to say frequent guest when using their points to reserve their accommodation are treated outstandingly well.
There did seem to be the need for a little restoration work as some hallways needed paint. In-room internet connection was a bit intermittent so be aware of that possibility that your connection may be interrupted.  Unfortunately the beach is rocky with heavy surf so its a no-go for swimmers. The pool area was superb, one of the best I ve enjoyed at any resort and it is most pleasant to hide away from other guests.
