Well, with the help of Diesel Brad my wife decided she liked the BFG Mud-Terrain 255/85R16 tires enough to order a set. So today we went and had them put on the stock rims. They took a ton of weight to get balanced but seem to run ok. There is still a good inch of space between the rear tires too.

I think we will try the tire shop one more time. It really feels like a tire is way way out of round. I will try to get them to replace it before I spend another $400. But, the Centramatics sound like a great product.
