We were lucky to have the opportunity to spend the weekend at The Crockett Hotel . The hotel a historic hotel and stands where Davy Crockett and group of Texas settlers defended the southeast palisade of the Alamo during saint gregory hotel london a 13-day siege in 1836. I loved the history behind the area and the history in the building!
The hotel is located just steps from the Alamo and the RiverCenter mall. Both are just across the street depending on the direction saint gregory hotel london you walk. The mall was wonderful because there is easy access to the Riverwalk from it! The view from room was the gorgeous Alamo! Talk about history!
We stayed in a suite at the Crockett Hotel and it was the best thing for my family. I hadn t given it too much thought before our trip, but a suite is perfect when travelling with a toddler! Having a mini refrigerator helped to keep milk cold for him.
Another great thing about the Crockett Hotel is that they offer free breakfast which helps you save money on one meal. When you re on vacation, meals can get expensive. I loved that we were able to go downstairs each morning and have a filling breakfast. There was a great mix of hot and cold food including Texas-shaped waffles!
The Crockett Hotel also offers an outdoor pool and free wifi to keep everyone in the family happy! Although we didn t get a chance to enjoy the pool area, it was the perfect size with plenty of chairs and towels. W got sick on our last evening in San Antonio so we spent the night staying in. The joys of travelling with kids! You never know what might happen!
J and I took full advantage of the internet and managed to entertain ourselves. W used it too when there was nothing on television and he needed to lay down. Sometimes a little Yo Gabba Gabba does the trick. I was thankful for the good internet connection available free of charge!
