The newly installed information boards are situated just behind security and passport checks. Eight of them are set to be installed at Terminal 1, while there are two located in Pier A just after the Travel Value shop and a further six located in the non Schengen part of Pier B. Authorities have also set up a new display in the Schengen part of Terminal 2. Once a gate has been assigned to a flight, the time it takes to walk there is revealed.
The new walking times initiative is part of Frankfurt airport's "Great to have you here!" programme which was launched recently. It includes an extensive list of improvements that ensure passengers enjoy a more comfortable and convenient departure from Germany's largest airport.
