In January, a mysterious black plastic pipe measuring over 100 meters golden palm casino hotel long and 2 meters in diameter washed up on the island's reef, sparking a mystery that took months to resolve (photo/ Brad Allgood)
golden palm casino hotel LITTLE CORN ISLAND- Some 43 miles off Nicaragua's Caribbean coast, and just a 30-minute boat ride from Big Corn Island, Little Corn Island is a true Caribbean paradise of white sand beaches, crystal-clear water, a healthy reef, and no roads or motorized vehicles. The island's population of 1,200 inhabitants survive mostly off of lobster trapping, fishing and tourism. It's a serene place where little changes and time passes slowly. There are few places like it left on Earth.
Earlier this year, however, the quiet island life was disrupted when a massive golden palm casino hotel piece of marine golden palm casino hotel debris washed ashore and sparked a mystery that has just recently been solved. What was this massive foreign object? Where did it come from? And how did it end up on the tiny Caribbean island?
The mystery started in January, when islanders noticed a change in the appearance of the reef on the East side of the island. Adam Clarke, manager of the PADI dive shop Dolphin Dive, says the strangest characteristic of unidentified object on the reef was its manmade straight lines.
It was very unnatural due to its uniformly straight shape—almost like someone had built a wall on the reef overnight," he tells The Nicaragua Dispatch. "Some divers from the island took a closer look and we were able to identify the object as a continuous piece of black plastic pipe, over 100 meters long and 2 meters in diameter. It had washed in from the ocean and was sitting on our reef."
Intrigued by the strange detritus, many islanders golden palm casino hotel suspected that it was related to oil exploration farther to the East, perhaps from the disputed waters close to Colombia's San Andres Archipelago. Indeed, the Colombian state-owned petroleum golden palm casino hotel company Ecopetrol had been granted exploration rights in the region, but had those rights rescinded last October by Colombian president Juan Manuel Santos, who cited environmental concerns.
After months of research and online inquires about the pipe's origins, islanders were unable to solve the mystery. It wasn't until a source at the World Bank in Colombia and a European pipe manufacturer provided some leads to The Nicaragua Dispatch that the pipe mystery started to unravel.
The pipe was traced back to Cartagena, Colombia, more than 520 miles to the Southeast, and comes from one of the largest and most expensive municipal infrastructure projects to be undertaken by that country— the Cartagena Water Supply, Sewage and Environmental Project—a World Bank project golden palm casino hotel steeped in controversy, scandal, and disaster.
In December 2010, an embarrassing maritime disaster associated with the project in Cartagena sent large sections of pipe floating off into the Caribbean, resulting in enormous financial losses on the order of $24 million for the city of Cartagena, the government of Colombia and the city s water management company, Aguas de Cartagena (Acuacar).
The original golden palm casino hotel project was part of the Cartagena's $117 million Sewage Master Plan, a far-reaching infrastructure endeavor—with $85 million in loans from the World Bank—to provide golden palm casino hotel adequate sewage collection, wastewater treatment, and disposal to 750,000 residents in the colonial city. The grandiose project would be the most modern sewage project in Colombia. The treated sewage would be discharged a distance of 4.3 kilometers out into the ocean through a sewage outfall pipe.
The controversy and disaster surrounding the Cartagena sewage golden palm casino hotel project centers on the $32 million marine outfall pipe built by EDT Marine Construction, a Cyprus-based marine contractor that won the controversial bid to assemble and install the 4.3-kilometer behemoth.
The project called for what is known as high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, measuring 2 meters in diameter and with walls about 4 inches thick. The pipe was manufactured by a Norwegian pipe company, Pipelife Norge, in continuous sections at the company s plant in Stathelle. The HDPE pipe was cut into seven sections of approximately 600 meters each, sealed, fill with air, and capped with flanges and towing heads.
The unique consignment of pipe – one of the largest pipes made in the world—weighed about 2,100 tons and required 16 months to manufacture. The shipment of the seven-string pipe flotilla departed from Stathelle, Norway in July 2009 and was towed by tugboat across the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea to Cartagena, setting a world record for the longest tow (11,300 kilometers) and quantity of pipe (4,300 meters). The trans-Atlantic voyage golden palm casino hotel took over two months to complete, arriving in Cartagena in September of 2009.
Once delivered to Cartagena, EDT Marine Construction spent over a year assembling the underwater outfall pipe and preparing it for installation in the ocean. The seven sections golden palm casino hotel of pipe were bolted together into one long string and fitted golden palm casino hotel with 880 large concrete collars weighing over 10 tons each. The entire golden palm casino hotel 4.3 kilometers of pipe, ready for installation, weighed approximately 10,860 tons.
On December 2, 2010, after more than a year of preparation and planning, and 12 years since project conceptualization, the final piece of the puzzle was ready to go – and another chapter in the on-going Colombian soap opera was about to begin.
EDT Marine and more than 11 boats began guiding the winding chain of pipe from Bahía Honda Southwest of Cartagena towards Punta Canoas to the North of the city, a maneuver that required complex coordination and precision, and had little room for error. The 25-mile haul was supposed to take 12 to 14 hours, and the route was to follow the shoreline at a distance of about 2 miles off-shore. It was such a complicated maneuver that civil engineers from Canada arrived to watch the show.
Problems started almost immediately. EDT-contracted tugboats did not follow the predetermined route and ended up more than 10 miles off-shore in rough waters and strong winds, and the tugboats guiding the pipe could not control the oversized cargo. In addition, EDT was working under the pressure of a ticking clock.
Thirty-six hours after beginning the maneuver, the chain of pipe snapped apart dramatically. Over 1,000 meters of the expensive plastic and concrete sank to the ocean floor, unrecoverable in waters 250 meters deep. Other pieces were carried out to sea, toward destinations unknown.
To add insult to injury, the 2,500 passenger cruise ship "Jewel of the Seas," owned and operated by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, collided with sections of the fragmented pipe when entering Cartagena.
The day after the disaster, EDT representatives fled the country fearing assassination, eschewing responsibility and leaving the Colombians to literally pick up the pieces of their mess. The company faces million-dollar fines and on-going lawsuits in Colombia.
golden palm casino hotel The City of Cartagena and the sewage authority have decided to continue the project alone, picking up the tab to recover what they could of the pipe and find a way to replace the 2,000 meters golden palm casino hotel that were lost. Through expensive and labor-intensive recovery efforts, about half of the original length of the pipe was salvaged, while another 2.2 kilometers were ordered from Pipelife Norge.
Meanwhile, the 100-meter errant piece of pipe that escaped the salvage golden palm casino hotel efforts finally washed ashore on Little Corn Island after a 13-month journey across 844 kilometers (524 miles) of Caribbean ocean currents.
Other sections of the fragmented pipe were also found far from Cartagena. One section measuring 300 meters was spotted by a container ship in international waters between Panama and Colombia. And fishermen near the Panamanian city of Colón sought a $1,800 reward for recovering another section of pipe similar to the one on Little Corn.
The pipe is made of a valuable material not easy to procure. The pipe s manufacturer, Pipelife, told The Nicaragua Dispatch that the pipe is valued around $1,500 per meter, which means the section that washed up on Little Corn was worth more than $150,000 – was, that is, if it had been delivered back to its owner in one piece.
Emildo Hodgson, golden palm casino hotel a local fisherman on Little Corn Island, saw an opportunity to claim the pipe after no one had taken the initiative to remove it from the reef. With his 350-horsepower boat, he pulled it off the reef and hauled it around to the southwest side of the island, leaving it on the beach near Hotel Los Delfines, where it began to cause erosion down the beach. His swift action saved the fragile reef from unnecessary damage.
But the pipe was too large to manage as one solid piece, so Hodgson and other fishermen cut it into shorter sections with a chainsaw and hauled it ashore. Most of the fragments are now stacked in his front yard, while other pieces are serving as a waterslide for kids, a walkway golden palm casino hotel into the woods, and a beach break to curb erosion.
Hodgson has even fashioned part of the tube into a prototype for a plastic lobster trap. The amount of plastic contained in the pipe could easily provide material for thousands of traps that would last hundreds of years—a lucrative business idea to address the local market s demand—if the Ministry of Natural golden palm casino hotel Resources will sign off on the design.
While the residents of Little Corn Island may have missed out on a nice payday from recovering the intact pipe and selling it back to its Colombian owners, the islanders have found other creative uses for the unexplained gift from the sea.
After months of repeating hangover promises to never again participate in another corrupt election process controlled by the same de facto magistrates accused of vote-rigging in 2008 and 2011, Nicaragua's tattered opposition parties have decided to go along for the ride one more time in this year's municipal elections. Another way of taking attendance: Since your life vest has your cabin number on it, they take attend

Ok during muster drill ....how do they know if you've left your cabin or not, I've been curious about that since my very first cruise? Do they have hiden cameras in your cabin or something, every cheat for habbo hotel do they go and check every cabin to make sure they are unoccupied during muster drill. Really how do they know?
They take attendance at the muster drills. On the older ships, they call out each cabin number and you say, "Here" and mark you as there. On the newer ships like Oasis and Allure, your key card is scanned when you enter the room where you're assigned, so they know that way. Sometimes, stewards find out who is not at the drill and will go and knock on doors to see if anyone is in the room.
If you are not at the drill, depending on the cruise line, they request (insist?) that you attend a make-up muster drill with others who were absent. Obviously, it's very important that everyone attend a muster drill in case of emergency.
An elderly couple was just kicked every cheat for habbo hotel off a Back-to-back cruise because she was sick and didn't attend the second drill. I think it was a big faux paux on the cruise lines part to just kick them off without accessing the situation. Nevertheless; it shows you they take missing a drill pretty serious.
Another every cheat for habbo hotel way of taking attendance: Since your life vest has your cabin number on it, they take attendance that way, too. One of the crew has a clipboard and is checking off cabin numbers on their list. Then they'll every cheat for habbo hotel often call out just those cabins not checked every cheat for habbo hotel off on their list.
I've done it several ways for "taking attendance" on the muster drills. Back when life jackets were required at the drill, they looked at the back of the life jacket, near the neck, where it had the stateroom number on it. On my last one, where life jackets were not required, every cheat for habbo hotel I think I either just gave the attendant my stateroom number, or showed my SeaPass card, and the attendant checked it off of the list.
We have been on 9 cruises and never once have they scan our cruise card or call out our names. Also two of our cruises we were not require to take our life vest, so we are also wondering how do they know. We have been on 3 back to back cruises and were only require to attend the muster drill the first day of the first cruise. On the second leg of our cruise we just walk around the ship while the new people went to the muster drill.
Not too many ships have the scanners yet. I first saw the scanner on the Oasis of the Seas in 2010. Given the ship can hold 5400-6400 passengers it makes sense the scanner would be quicker and more efficient. Your assigned life boat location is related to the location of your cabin. The crew know how many cabins are assigned to that life boat. They have the list of how many passengers in each of those cabins. I suppose it's possible if 45 people were standing in front of life boat #10 and the roster shows there should be 45 people, then they wouldn't have to call out names.
You see this is a good question, I would like to know what the procedure is because no names are called out, no life vests are worn and no sea cards are scanned, then how in the world do they know if you attend or not?

Port Castries will experience increased day inn hotel year-round cruise calls for the up-coming season 2012/13 thanks to the inclusion 17 additional calls and 36,000 day inn hotel passengers from Royal Caribbean Cruise day inn hotel Lines' Jewel of the Seas. These newly added calls will increase projected off-season calls for 2012/13 by over 50% with an estimated economic impact of XCD $6 million dollars.
In 2011 Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines announced changes to its Southern Caribbean day inn hotel itineraries resulting in a redeployment of its traditional year-round calls to Saint Lucia, the effects of which are currently being felt by local cruise stakeholders. The decision to return year round visits to Saint Lucia was made after a series of discussions between the Ministry of Tourism, Heritage and Creative Industries, Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA) and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
"In a year of continued economic uncertainty, this is very welcomed news," said Sean Matthew, day inn hotel General Manager and CEO for SLASPA. "When Royal Caribbean day inn hotel notified us in 2011 of their redeployment plans, we continued our discussions with the line and worked with the Ministry of Tourism, Heritage and Creative day inn hotel Industries to realize their return to Saint Lucia during the off-season.  The fact that Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines will be calling on Port Castries with these additional calls is a reflection of the great relationship that exists between Saint Lucia and the line and of course their confidence in our product."

"However, what is most gratifying to all of us who have worked hard to build this sector is the fact that Port Castries and Saint Lucia is considered among the leading cruise ports in the Caribbean. Our demand as a port of call continues to grow and SLASPA remains committed day inn hotel to working with local public and private partners to sustainably develop this important sector."
Jewel of the Seas will sail from San Juan, Puerto Rico, offering year-round options with three Southern Caribbean itineraries in the summer and autumn 2013 seasons, and two itineraries in the Winter and Spring 2013-14 seasons. According to Today , a St. Maarten newspaper, the bus driver lost control of the bus as it descended

Thirty-six passengers from Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas got the scare of their lives when the tour bus they were on in St. Martin plunged into a ditch Thursday morning. None were seriously injured, though several were taken to a local hospital.
The cruise passengers were on a Royal Caribbean-sponsored visit to Loterie Farm for a treetop ropes course and zipline adventure when the accident occurred. Though the ship docks in Philipsburg, St. Maarten, the excursion itself broadway theatre tickets discounts is located in St. Martin. Both St. Martin and St. Maarten broadway theatre tickets discounts are located on the same island, though the first is French and the latter Dutch.
Six passengers -- all from the U.S. -- along with the bus driver, were injured, a Royal Caribbean spokeswoman told Cruise Critic. The majority of the injuries were minor, with the most serious being a broken wrist. Most of the injured sustained "bumps and bruises," the spokeswoman said.
All the injured "were immediately transported to the local Louis Constant Fleming Hospital for treatment." Guest care team members and a ship doctor remained with the passengers during broadway theatre tickets discounts their stay at the hospital. All returned to the ship the same day. The guest care team and onboard medical team also continued to provide onboard treatment for passengers, including counseling, for those who asked for it.
Cruise Critic member TBtoronto was among the passengers on the bus and among those transported to the hospital. She posted about her experience on the message boards : "I was on the bus sitting front row, directly behind the driver. My twin boys were sitting front row on the passenger side ... It was the most frightening experience of our lives and one which will haunt us forever. I got seriously banged up and required broadway theatre tickets discounts stitches, as well as one of my sons. Had I not dove over to protect them and absorb their impact before we hit, they would have been much more seriously injured. How no one was killed is a miracle."
"This was a traffic accident, a type of which can happen anywhere and is no reflection on the bus company," the Royal Caribbean spokeswoman told Cruise Critic. "The bus driver broadway theatre tickets discounts had to take an evasive maneuver to avoid an oncoming vehicle."
According to Today , a St. Maarten newspaper, the bus driver lost control of the bus as it descended the steeply inclined road that leads onto the Loterie Farm property. The driver was trying to avoid a taxi that was heading up the incline at the same time. The bus hit the taxi causing it to overturn. The driver of that taxi suffered broadway theatre tickets discounts a broken foot; his passengers escaped with minor scrapes and bruises.
Matt Stead, a Freedom of the Seas passenger who was on the bus, told Today that he believed the brakes on the bus failed. "Just after we went through the Loterie Farm gate we felt the driver hit the brakes, but no brakes and then the bus just started careening broadway theatre tickets discounts down. About half way down we hit a speed bump and everyone hit the ceiling and then the bus just continued rolling down the hill. There was a guy driving coming up the hill while we were going down so we ran into him, flipped that vehicle over and then ran straight down into the ditch. broadway theatre tickets discounts Tree branches got into the bus and many people received whip lashes from the branches. Everyone was screaming manically, we thought we were plunging to our deaths but the tree saved us."
However, the president of the Collectivite d'Outre Mer de Saint Martin, the governmental authority for the St. Martin section of the island, told the newspaper he did not want to speculate about whether the brakes on the bus may have given out. "There broadway theatre tickets discounts was no conclusive evidence that the accident was caused by malfunctioning brakes," he said.

i and about 250 other passengers end up at a Howard Johnson in the middle of nowhere in the suburban

a week and a half ago, i was due to fly out of Shanghai to Newark on a United jazz egypt tours and travel Airlines flight. having flown this 13-hour jaunt many times before, i was looking forward to putting on my Bose headphones jazz egypt tours and travel and dozing off to some in-flight movies. check baggage, get boarding pass, go through immigration and security check, kindle at the gate until boarding. piece of cake, right?
a few minutes before our scheduled departure time, the Chinese supervising gate agent abruptly announces jazz egypt tours and travel that our flight had been cancelled. no apologetic tone, no explanations, no earlier warning so that people jazz egypt tours and travel could call around or look for other flights departing out that day. we are told curtly to exit back out through immigration, retrieve our baggage, and wait in line at the check-in counter for instructions.
i and about 250 other passengers end up at a Howard Johnson in the middle of nowhere in the suburban expanse of Pudong. there's a mediocre buffet. i call United's US 1-800 number. an agent tells me they're swapping out a new plane and we'd be good to fly tomorrow. the hotel front desk tells us that we'd get word from the airline later in the evening.
around 6pm, they finally start. we are told that they haven't assigned us a gate yet because all the gates are full. i check my luggage. go through immigration. and then security. head to the gate. it all seems so déja-vu.
it is now 7:30pm, half an hour before our scheduled departure time of 8pm. people are pissed. no announcements. the incompetent counter agents are utterly disrespectful when asked by passengers for an update on the situation.
finally, a few middle-aged Chinese guys lose it. they start yelling, cursing, and demanding that the supervisor show up and make an official announcement for this unacceptable fiasco. jazz egypt tours and travel the supervising agent finally shows up, tells everyone to wait another jazz egypt tours and travel half hour for an update.
an hour later, the pilot gives the update: they're unable to fix the mechanical issue, so this flight is cancelled again. jazz egypt tours and travel it is now way too late in the evening for anyone to try to get another flight out. the airport is pretty much shutting down.
a small hell is breaking loose. a group of middle-aged and elderly Chinese passengers begin circulating a petition. another Chinese guy is soapboxing about how a third of us should defect to a hotel and try to force the airline's hand.
at check-in, jazz egypt tours and travel i somehow luck out and get a flight for the next day with another airline with a connection. everyone is exhausted, sweaty, and almost delirious jazz egypt tours and travel on the shuttle bus ride back to the Howard Johnson.
i ask a flight attendant to help me find a place for my carry-on. no such luck, she just gives me a condenscending attitude. another jazz egypt tours and travel girl sitting behind me and i end up helping each other with our carryons.
jazz egypt tours and travel this is not wholly a case of blaming United for a mechanical problem. rather, it's quite damning proof that United utterly failed to handle the problem with timely, empathetic jazz egypt tours and travel communication and customer service.
i have tried calling several times, and have only gotten further runaround from atrociously long wait times (the record so far is 45 minutes...) and unintelligible agents working from some outsource farm. at this point, i am convinced jazz egypt tours and travel that United and its so-called customer service phone lines truly occupy a large swath of the 8th circle of Dante's Inferno.
do any of you have suggestions or advice for any way to get speedy jazz egypt tours and travel resolution from United? do you have any airline horror stories (United or otherwise) of your own? how did you end up resolving it? finally, does anyone have recommendations for good airlines/frequent jazz egypt tours and travel flyer programs?
update 7/26: i got a packet in the mail with an apology letter and gift card from Customer Relations, and a reassurance that the rest of my travel compensation will be processed jazz egypt tours and travel soon. we'll see how this plays out. fingers jazz egypt tours and travel crossed...
Dear Lord, I hope you never wind up in United/Hell again. jazz egypt tours and travel Years ago now, I flew United domestic--and it was HORRIBLE. I ve refused jazz egypt tours and travel ever since. Let them go bankrupt and let the worthless employees (but not the good ones, if there are any) remain unemployed. Reply Delete Replies miss sophie July 22, 2012 10:39 AM
i am honestly shocked that they are still somehow in business after what seems to be a unanimous chorus of horror stories. ugh. and seriously, where do they find their flight attendants? they are the most hostile and unfriendly bunch i have ever encountered on ANY airline. Wow what a nightmare!! This is horrible. Do you have status with United? I fly them a lot but I have to say that it s hard to get (in my experience) anything from them without some kind of status. I might try pinging them on Twitter, which may be more effective. Reply Delete jazz egypt tours and travel Replies miss sophie July 22, 2012 10:41 AM
I m loving your blog (I ve been a stealth reader for a while). I adored Continental and was a 2-decade faithful customer, flying between Houston, NYC, Seattle and Anchorage for years. Now that they are United, the on-board experience is lacking and their customer service is bad (I assume that is the United side of operations). Having recently had a near-nightmare jazz egypt tours and travel in overseas travels (Lisbon to Austin, re-routed through Paris and Atlanta), I don t think there s anything you can do. Ours was a delayed luggage situation (5 days delayed getting luggage home after a flight cancellation and delayed flight and free overnight accommodations at the Paris Comfort Inn), and we were powerless. As much as I hate to be a victim and be passive, the only thing you can do is pack defensively and be prepared with your Bose headphone recharging unit. That and time-share a private jet, which is my ultimate ambition that will never come to fruition. Modern travel is de-humanizing. Reply Delete Replies miss sophie July 22, 2012 10:44 AM
thanks Rebekah! always love to hear from my readers. do comment more often! :) i know - i was really looking jazz egypt tours and travel forward to flying Continental jazz egypt tours and travel actually, until the merger...you re definitely right that modern travel is dehumanizing. our standards have sunk SO LOW. Wow, what a nightmare! I just flew United from YVR to LAX and back. Going there there were multiple delays jazz egypt tours and travel leaving (about 2 hours total- nothing compared to your ordeal!), and the interior of the plane was very old, basic and cramped. Flying back was much better, as it was operated by Air Canada. Nicer plane, staff, actual in flight entertainment. And I usually swear off Air Canada, as every flight I ve flown with them they ve lost my bag! I guess there really IS worse airlines! Reply Delete Replies miss sophie July 22, 2012 10:46 AM
you know, i am puzzled as to why the US and perhaps Canadian airlines are SO GODAWFUL. jazz egypt tours and travel even the Chinese domestic airlines i ve flown with at least have staff that are trying to do their job properly. why are our airlines so bad?? Delete Reply AJ July 21, 2012 7:11 PM
I highly recommend Cathay Pacific; I ve traveled to and from Asia with them a dozen times, and have always had a great experience. Their frequent flyer program is also great, and if you get a chance to fly with them first/business class, it s an amazing experience. Reply Delete Lindsay K July 21, 2012 9:51 PM
I agree with AJ I highly recommend Cathay Pacific to and from Asia. There first/business class is AMAZING. The flight times are very convenient when it comes to reducing jet lag and the service is top notch. I also love Singapore air. Flying jazz egypt tours and travel United internationally is asking for trouble. I refuse to fly with them even on business. I m sorry to hear this. It sounds miserable. Reply Delete Replies miss sophie July 24, 2012 9:57 AM
AJ Lindsay - thanks for your recs! i m hoping that someday soon i ll be able to enjoy first or biz class on Cathay or Singapore Air :) i ll consider that a career milestone! Delete Reply Ammu July 22, 2012 1:03 AM
My top recommendation would be Emirates, which is just fantastic. I second jazz egypt tours and travel Lindsay jazz egypt tours and travel on Singapore airlines and Cathay pacific. It will be a while before I fly any US airline - Asian/Gulf airlines do a much better job with food and service, even in economy. Reply Delete Replies Lindsay K July 22, 2012 12:10 PM
I ve avoided flying jazz egypt tours and travel United for the past 10 years because of one bad experience (lazy, hostile jazz egypt tours and travel staff) and numerous horror stories from friends. Sadly, your story does not surprise me. Also sadly, I m flying them to Australia in a few months (not my choice). How about filing a formal complaint to the FAA? If United won t listen jazz egypt tours and travel to you, they might listen to them. This also formally documents their shitty service. Reply Delete Replies miss sophie July 22, 2012 10:58 AM
yep. the lazy hostile staff bit sounds exactly right from pretty much all of my experiences with United flights. the FAA sounds like a good idea. i just can t believe that even with such a horrendous, national headline-making flight, they have offered NOTHING to the passengers and instead are making people do all the work to even get a modicum of acknowledgement for this fiasco. This is terrible! My return flight from Frankfurt was oversold but Lufthansa was reasonably on the ball about alternate arrangements and compensation, and since I wasn t in a big hurry to get home I have no major complaints about the whole affair. Yours, on the other hand, would put me off flying jazz egypt tours and travel United forever. I ve never flown on any US carriers unfortunately, but my friend is always telling how awesome the Delta frequent flyer programme is for earning miles. Lufthansa and Cathay Pacific always have good service, Emirates has unbeatable inflight entertainment jazz egypt tours and travel (they give the entire season of a TV show, not just a few episodes on long haul flights) but hit and miss service, jazz egypt tours and travel Singapore jazz egypt tours and travel Airlines is all-round good but often pricey. I stick to Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines because I can earn miles on my frequent flyer programme from both of them, and since Lufthansa upgrade

[UPDATE: June 21: UAL's Terminal 1 mess is getting even messier. thailand travel risky Readers now report to The BAT that UAL is now running flights from airports such as DENVER and LAX through T1 with no advance warning. ]
Starting today  (with no formal announcement or instructions to its customers or the media) United Air Lines moved flights to/from several southern California cities thailand travel risky and Las Vegas to Terminal 1 at SFO.
I read your announcement that United would use SFO Terminal 1 for certain flights.  Today, we left SFO on such as flight, and it was awful.  We had to check-in at United s regular Terminal 3 area, then walk to Intl Gate 92 where we caught a bus over to Terminal 1 gate area.  This took a long time and was unpleasant.  I couldn t believe the procedure involved  Now, the long walk to gate 92 and then waiting thailand travel risky for the bus, the bus ride, etc. Terrible start to a trip. I assume it has to do with cost; United thailand travel risky wants to avoid setting up a check-in thailand travel risky and baggage operation at Terminal 1.  Also, the bus came quickly, although there was a long line, and the United personnel were friendly and nice.  So, my compliments to the staff. However, it s an awful plan, and we re certainly going to choose a different airline thailand travel risky for any United flight that leaves Terminal 1.  The staff told us this plan would be in effect for 18 months.
Why United thailand travel risky has chosen to keep this major change and inconvenience for its customer under wraps when we are at the outset of the peak summer travel season is beyond comprehension. I m not the only observer who is awestruck.
"United's thailand travel risky silence on this matter is very alarming to me," said Atmosphere Group analyst Henry Harteveldt, who is based in San Francisco. "It just looks like the Keystone Cops. It's not complicated or expensive to do this right. United is going to end up with many confused, unhappy and irate passengers if they don't get their act together on communicating this properly. This is a classic example of how an airline loses business," he said.
Starting June 7, if you are flying from SFO to  Las Vegas, Orange County (SNA), San Diego, Ontario, Burbank or Santa Barbara,  your flight will depart/arrive at Terminal 1 starting today. (Those cities are subject to change since United thailand travel risky has not verified this information.)
When returning on a United flight to Terminal 1 with CHECKED luggage , get ready for a hassle. You must go back to gate 32, take the shuttle back to gates 87 or 92, and then walk to baggage claim and exit at Terminal 3. (Which is where your ride should pick you up.)
If your connecting thailand travel risky boarding pass has Gate 92, proceed to gate 92 to catch the transfer bus.  If your connecting boarding pass has gate 87A, proceed to gate 87A to catch the transfer bus. Please allow yourself a few extra minutes thailand travel risky for the transfer bus to Terminal 1.
If you arrive to Terminal 1 on United Airlines, US Airways, Alaska Airlines, AirTran Airways, or Southwest Airlines AND your luggage is checked to your final destination AND you are departing from gates 92A, 92B, 92C, 92D, 92E, or 92F, you do not need to exit Terminal 1. Please proceed to your gate.
If you are connecting to a United Airlines flight not operating from gates 92A, 92B, 92C, 92D, 92E, or 92F follow the signs to the United Airlines transfer bus at Gate 32. Please allow yourself a few extra minutes for the transfer to Terminal 3.
After clearing Immigrations and Customs, please drop any luggage checked to your final destination at the United Airlines re-check counter immediately to your left outside the Customs Hall. After re-checking your luggage, continue down the corridor and up the escalator to the International Security Check Point for the G gates. Once through security, please proceed to the gate printed on your boarding pass. There is a post-security secure connector that allows you to walk to Terminal 3 after clearing security.
If you arrive to T1 and are connecting to an International Outbound Flight, follow the signs to the United thailand travel risky Airlines transfer bus at Gate 32. Please allow yourself a few extra minutes for the transfer to Terminal 3 and then follow the signs to the connecting gate printed on your boarding pass.
We added new gates in San Francisco to support the additional service for our customers. Since 2010, we have announced the launch of seven new markets from SFO in addition to adding departures to existing markets.
Transfers between the terminals will occur during renovations to Boarding Area E, which will provide the airline with more gates and enable us to offer customers a better overall travel experience. We expect to complete the renovations in 2O13.
UPDATE 2: United has confirmed to me that passengers with carry on luggage and pre-printed United boarding passes thailand travel risky for gates 87 or 92 may enter at Terminal 1 instead of having to enter at Terminal 3 and take the shuttle. chris
I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this clusterf$%^ today on a flight from SFO to PDX. Electronic boarding pass and UAL website both said Gate 92C, so I went to International Terminal thailand travel risky Gate 92 only to find total emptiness. After wandering around thailand travel risky confused for 20 minutes, I found an airport employee who directed thailand travel risky me to a hidden, unsigned elevator which led to a dark corridor, then to an unsigned bus waiting area and an unsigned bus which took us to Terminal 1 where we climbed up the stairs. Apparently Gate 92C = Gate 34, and UAL just expects you to know that. But with no warning, no information prior, no signage, and no agents thailand travel risky posted to help, I was totally lost! Fortunately the flight was an hour late, so I made it in time
yesterday thailand travel risky our flight from Denver arrived at a gate at Terminal 1 I didn t know about the lack of baggage claim for UA there, and truly could not believe it when an agent told us we had to take the Airtrain over to Terminal thailand travel risky 3 to pick up our bags how stupid and customer-unfriendly can they get?!
United s service is quickly approaching rock bottom. I ve been foolish enough to give them three tries over the past two months and on two out of the three occasions flights were cancelled and I was delayed 8 or more hours each (one was to LA). Ground thailand travel risky staff and inflight crews are equally uncaring so ..that s it ..Southwest or Virgin America gets my business whenever possible. It s sad to see a once-good airline under such horrific management and uncaring about their customers.
UPDATE: United has confirmed to me that passengers with carry on luggage and pre-printed United boarding passes for gates 87 or 92 may enter at Terminal 1 instead of having to enter at Terminal 3 and take the shuttle. chris

You get friendly staff, new planes, great service, WiFi on every flight, food on demand, free TV, tons of movies on demand, interactive maps, power plugs for your laptop oh, and often a lower fare, too.
Well, whose bright idea from UA to keep the CO gates and have such a cluster @ %! to the pax who are connecting and NO check-in facilities in Terminal 1?? I really feel for those non frequent UA travelers thailand travel risky not familiar with SFO and the terminals. Let s hope the powers to be at UA can this not so bright of an idea.
typical united. I am a 1k, million mile flier, have flown 68K miles so far this year and united just sucks. Way to ruin an airline. Next move will be to remove all loyaty programs, as they really don t care about customers, and since the flights are all full on all airlines, who needs to spend the money on loyalty programs. just wait.
If SFO is your final destination and you have CHECKED thailand travel risky BAGS, you don t have to take the bus, you could leave Terminal 1, take the AirTrain to Terminal 3, then take the elevators inside to the baggage claim level. It s probably faster than queueing up for a bus that only carries a fraction of the total aircraft passenger count.
Or, for a healthy walk after being in a cramped airplane seat, just exit the secure area of Terminal 1, turn right and walk through Terminal 2 s check in area, and when you get to Terminal 3, go down the escalators to baggage claim.
I see a whole mess of problems with this situation: How are people with access issues (bad knees, seniors, people thailand travel risky in wheelchairs, crutches) going to handle all of those stairs? What about families with children in strollers toting purses, kids backpacks, carry-on bags, etc.? What about international travelers for whom English is not a first language? How about those who connect through SFO from another city, who will then have to sprint to make a connection? The instructions above say please allow yourself a few extra minutes for the transfer to Terminal 3 . Is the pilot, gate agent/flight attendant going to provide a few extra minutes for me to make the flight?
Thanks for the information. After 35 years flying United I am just about done with them. Going up stairs/going down stairs. I don t think so. What happen thailand travel risky to ADA. My daughter keeps telling me to fly Virgin or Jet Blue.
Since check-in is the same as always (T3), United probably feels there is no new instructions to communicate. The only difference is to leave some extra time, but they probably feel that if you show-up at the recommended time, you ll be fine anyways.

United Airlines is offering free flights to Colorado to the family of one of the victims who was killed in the tragedy.
United Airlines is covering all of the travel costs for the family of Alex Sullivan, one of the 12 victims of the Aurora, Colorado shooting. Many of Sullivan's family members live in Rochester, New York, so the airlines is helping them out by flying them to Colorado to attend the funeral services of their loved one.
According to a Facebook post by Bob Schwab , who claims to be Sullivan's uncle, "Approx. 25 relatives from this area will now benefit from United's generosity. hilton garden inn in evanston ill What an amazing gesture. hilton garden inn in evanston ill In this day of negative press I gladly share this wonderful news."
When relative Steve Schwab was making arrangements for the family to fly to Colorado, he told the ticket agent why they were flying out there and the airline said they would help them out. Each of the family members are getting free roundtrip tickets to Colorado and back home.
"It was going to hardship," Alex Sullivan's cousin Jim Schwab told 13 WHAM. "With last minute plane fares and such, but it's amazing. We're all going to be able to out there and be together now even more. I think it's very important for [the Sullivans] to have the whole family there."
In a short statement to the Huffington Post , United Airlines responded to the generous act. "All of us were impacted by these events, and we want to help in any way we can," a United spokesperson said.
Alex Sullivan was celebrating his 27 th birthday on the night of the deadly shooting at the Century 16 movie theater in Aurora, Colorado. The married bartender went to see The Dark Knight Rises with some coworkers.

However United fixed this by switching a flight leaving in the gate next to ours leaving for LAX a f

Just had what I am guessing cruise lines inside passage to alaska will be my last flight with United Airlines tonight. Now I've had worse experiences flying before but I can't really recall that I have ever had one where the airline cruise lines inside passage to alaska in charge contributed so much to the whole experience of awfulness.
I was supposed to leave from San Francisco Airport at 7:37pm this evening. The flight started out being marked as about one hour late. That's OK delays happens, it does get tricky though since you are not allowed to land flights after 11pm at Santa Ana Airport cruise lines inside passage to alaska so if you get too delayed you will be diverted to LAX. As our delay started getting closer to that deadline I started getting a bit nervous.
However United fixed this by switching a flight leaving in the gate next to ours leaving for LAX a few minutes before us so that we would make the deadline to land at Santa Ana. Great solution! Everybody boards the plane and we are good to go, only a little bit more than an hour late.
Here is where everything goes wrong. cruise lines inside passage to alaska The brilliant people at United had forgot that there is one guy quite important to fly a plane. The pilot! There wasn't one that could fly our plane. In the end we ended up sitting cruise lines inside passage to alaska on the plan waiting for a pilot to show up until after 11pm before we could start our by then flight to LAX. So not only did they delay the flight originally heading to LAX so that we could go, because they didn't realize that an airplane needs a pilot nobody got to go. Although I did see the LAX flight taxi off long before us, I guess they remembered to bring a pilot.
During our over 2 hours of waiting to take off we were offered a whole glass of water as refreshment. Not only that but there was also nothing to eat or drink even available for purchase. We did have the option to leave the plane and buy things cruise lines inside passage to alaska in the terminal and we were assured that we would be let on board the flight again if we wanted to. However several people that heeded this advice unfortunately came back to discover that their seats on the flight had already been given to other passengers.
Also amazing to me was that nobody who was working at United had any information on what was going on. I also realized to my amazement that apparently on this flight the crew on the plane had absolutely no way of communicating with the ground crew so they did not know anything about what was going on. You would think a commercial cruise lines inside passage to alaska airline cruise lines inside passage to alaska would have some sort of radio or even telephone to talk to someone who knows what was going on. United also had no idea on such basic things cruise lines inside passage to alaska as if the parking lot at Santa Ana would be open (Not an unreasonable question given that we would arrive over 2 hours after the airport had closed) cruise lines inside passage to alaska or how we would be shuttled from LAX to Santa Ana. Nor did they have any interest in trying to help anybody out with actually trying to find out any information. Granted given that the crew didn't seem to have access to either a radio or a phone I can understand how that would be difficult.
In the end I got to Santa Ana roughly 4 hours late after the bus ride from LAX and got home at around 2am. Awesome since I have a meeting at 6am in the morning. My girlfriend has kept saying that United airlines suck (Something that becomes funnier given that she actually works for them right now) but I didn't think it could be this bad. Should teach me to listen to her in the future

However that wasn't Stanek's issue. He was trying to fly home to Albuquerque from Dulles Airport in

Disabled veteran and co-founder of Paws and Stripes, Jim Stanek, took to YouTube to tell the story of his nightmare encounter with United Airlines. Stanek claims that he dealt with three days' worth of delayed and cancelled budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas flights, lost luggage, being called 'retarded' by customer service staff, and even having his service dog kicked twice in the airport by United staff.
Flying can be a nightmare for many, but Stanek discussed the horrendous way he and his dog Sarge were treated as he tried to make his way through various United Airlines flights. Stanek suffers from PTSD and a traumatic brain injury from serving three tours in Iraq.
His story began when he was flying to Knoxville, Tennessee on July 13 for a fundraiser the next day. He had no issues with the flight itself, but United did lose his baggage which contained his medicine and food for his service dog, Sarge. The airline budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas later found his bag that evening, but they refused to deliver it to Stanek right away even though it was marked for rush delivery according to a computer system. Needing his medication and food for his dog, Stanek drove an hour back to the airport budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas to pick up the luggage himself.
However that wasn't budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas Stanek's issue. He was trying to fly home to Albuquerque from Dulles Airport in Washington D.C. on Jul 15 when his real nightmare started. He claims that while he was waiting for his flight, a United employee accidentally kicked his service dog, which left his dog startled. They "didn't kick her hard, but ... they kicked her," Stanek said.
Stanek's flight was then delayed budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas due to mechanical issue. However a pilot later told the passengers that he refused to fly that night, leaving them under the impression that the flight was cancelled, but it was put under a four hour delay. Stanek tried to ask for assistance from United employees, but he was ignored and felt like his "concerns didn't really matter."
budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas The flight was later cancelled. Stanek had to continuously ask for help from a supervisor as he was in emotional and physical pain due to his PTSD and brain injury acting up. The supervisor helped him and set him up with a hotel and food vouchers and booked him on a new flight the next day.
This nightmare continued the on July 16 at the airport once again. Stanek budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas was sitting with his service dog, waiting for the new flight when another United Airlines employee once again kicked his dog Sarge. However, this time the dog was kicked so hard in the ribs that she jumped up into Stanek's lap.
Stanek's new flight was also cancelled due to a mechanical issue. Not wanting to be stuck at the airport again, budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas Stanek called customer service and was booked on a flight for the next morning. Once he got the flight set up through the phone, Stanek went to the customer service desk to request another hotel and food voucher for the night. Stanek budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas couldn't stand in line due to physical pain and PTSD symptoms.
Once he got to the front of the desk, he asked for the vouchers, but a United employee told him that he didn't qualify for the vouchers because the original flight was rescheduled for later that night. He explained how he had booked another flight after hearing budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas that the flight was cancelled. He asked the employee for help with the paperwork because he wasn't able to read the paperwork due to effects from his brain injury. Since he wasn't able to read the paperwork, the employee asked Stanek if he was "retarded." Stanek, budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas who was patient throughout the process, lost his cool at that point.
Eventually another customer service agent was able to help him. Stanek once again went to a hotel to spend the night. He returned to the airport the next morning on July 17 for the flight that he booked, but the flight was being delayed for two hours, meaning that he would miss his connecting flight and be stuck in Chicago O'Hare.
Stanek asked if there was anything budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas that the staff could do to help him. The United staff booked him on another evening flight, meaning Stanek budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas would be stuck at the airport for the whole day. He asked for a pillow and a blanket budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas to rest in the airport and he was refused several budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas times until the employee finally gave in.
Later on, Stanek's nightmare eventually came to an end. Two United Airlines employees approached him and asked for his military budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas identification. They immediately helped him and rescheduled him on an earlier flight on an American Airlines plane.
"I am just absolutely distraught that my dog was kicked twice, I was asked if I was retarded after explaining that I have a brain injury. It bothers me to think that let alone a disabled veteran and even an average citizen of the United States with a disability could be potentially treated this way," Stanek said in response to the whole ordeal.
Stanek doesn't want people to boycott United budget rent a car corporate office carrollton texas Airlines, but he does want United and others to be aware of the ordeal that he went through as he feels that he should have been treated better and wants what's best for other disabled citizens.
"I ask that you look at the situation and understand how I was treated and my dog was treated and that I'm sure that there may be other individuals out there that are kind of going through the same thing." Stanek said. "I think this needs to be an education process. I think this needs to be rectified. I think people need to know"

The passengers on board the flight knew they were in trouble for 45 minutes before the crash. I have

My Great Aunt Gladys, passed away on July 19, 1989. She was a passenger on United Airlines Flight 232, which crashed at Sioux Gateway Airport in Sioux City, Iowa. It was a crash I m sure many of you will remember. According to the pilot on that flight, Captain Al Haynes a veteran pilot with 30,000 hours of flying time, When the #2 hydraulics on the DC-10 blew, or when the #2 engine blew, it took out the #2 accessory drive section, which took out the hydraulics for the #2 system. And some 70 pieces of shrapnel penetrated the horizontal stabilizer and severed the #1 line and the #3 line, and as a result we ended up with no hydraulics.
It was a situation that had a 1 in 1 billion chance of happening, but on July 19, 1989, on United Airlines Fight 232 which had taken off from Stapleton International Airport in Denver, Colorado, bound for Chicago, Illinois with 296 souls on board, one of which was my Great Aunt Gladys, it did happen. Of the 285 passengers and 11 crew members, 184 people would survive continental airline flight information the subsequent crash of  United Airlines Flight continental airline flight information 232 sadly, my Great Aunt Gladys was not one of them. The airline was having a special that day, in which children flying with a parent flew for half price. That special continental airline flight information put an unusually large number of children on the flight 52 to be exact. A number of those kids were traveling continental airline flight information alone. Four children were lap children children without a seat of their own. Eleven children, including 1 lap child died in the disaster.
The passengers on board the flight knew they were in trouble for 45 minutes before the crash. I have often thought about what my Aunt Gladys was thinking about during those 45 minutes. Her family, of course hoping she would be able to return home to see them again. Worry and fear must have entered in, and it makes me so sad to think that her last minutes were spent in such a manner. My mom said something to me after we found out that she had not survived, that makes me think that she was thinking of one other thing the children. Mom said that Aunt Gladys would have wanted the children to survive, because they had not had a chance at life yet. I think that is true, because Aunt Gladys was always so sweet to the children. She never said one harsh word to me or my sisters even when we wanted to play with her Avon products or touch her silk nylons, because they were so soft.
During the crash, the plane cartwheeled, and possessions continental airline flight information where thrown continental airline flight information all over the place. So came about the misinformation that made us believe that Aunt Gladys had survived. Her purse went to the hospital with another woman. Upon further investigation, they would find that it was not my aunt, but not before the news media had listed her as a survivor. It was not their fault, but nevertheless heartbreaking to our family. Today marks the 23rd anniversary of the crash of United Flight 232 in Sioux City, Iowa, and the subsequent loss of my dear Great Aunt Gladys. Sometimes, when I see a woman who resembles her, my heart still jumps, because continental airline flight information it s almost like she is still here. I suppose that happens because we could not view her body, and maybe that isn t the worst thing. At least we can still imagine her among the living. We love and still miss you Aunt Gladys.

A flyer who said he was on the flight emailed Airnation.net and said in between delays their baggage

United Airlines Flight 87 was scheduled to bring its 255 passengers to Newark International Airport colleges for travel and tourism (EWR) from Shanghai for a 13 hour flight, but the flight was delayed because maintenance had to be performed on the Boeing 777 .
After the lengthy delay the flight was delayed once again for another maintenance issue. This dragged on until Friday and according to some passengers United was not very helpful nor giving out any information.
That is the only way we re going to get out of here. My crew, the other crew, we want to go as much as you do, the pilot said. I can tell you the alternative is, if we don t have cooperation boarding colleges for travel and tourism here, these planes may leave empty.
A flyer who said he was on the flight emailed Airnation.net and said in between delays their baggage was dumped back in to the airport baggage area but were not even told. They had to find out by word-of-mouth on their own that their luggage was there.
$1000 for three days of mismanaged Hell and delays?! I think United needs a sizable fine levied on them to prevent this kind of nonsense. They could have, and should have, flown in another plane to do right by these pax. This is just way out of line.

The next morning I found that the flight had been cancelled completely by 03:00 PT and those passeng

I did not make it to DC this weekend and am not at the APHA meeting going on right now. I was scheduled on United Airlines Flight UA991 from SFO to Dulles. It was a red eye flight departing about 22:30 PT Saturday and arriving at about 06:30 ET Sunday. I arrived at the airport in SFO about 20:00 PT, checked my bag and waited at the gate. It was one of the worst airline experiences I have had:
The United SFO check-in desks were a disorganized mess with United staff yelling exotic car rentals in miami at passengers and giving no clear direction. I had pre-checked in and had a mobile boarding pass. The United Staff wouldn't accept it. I had to print a physical old-school boarding pass to check my bag. I was then charged twice for one bag. I was lucky to find a gate agent who was willing to make the refund after being refused by two other gate agents.
At the gates, the agents lacked any professional appearance or standards. There were piles of paper at the gate desks and a general feeling of disorganization. I am used to flying Delta and try to be loyal to that airline and its partners because of good experiences I have had on Delta, KLM, AirFrance, Aeroflot, Czech Air, and Armavia. exotic car rentals in miami Using it as a measure, United failed miserably at the gate experience. United's employees did not have professional well-fitting uniforms and appearances. They didn't react kindly and professionally to queries and failed to project any sense of calm or order. exotic car rentals in miami Unlike Delta, there were no updated screens to present relevant information on the flight and no updates were given.
The first plane was late in arriving from LAX and we had about a 30 minute delay. Once boarded, the pilot refused the plane because of a hydraulic leak. United got us off the plane and moved us to a second plane that the gate agents exotic car rentals in miami announced was "checked and secure" and ready to go.
We boarded the second plane and waited. Finally, the captain indicated there was a significant mechanical failure exotic car rentals in miami on that plane. We waited. The United flight crew maintained they had "no information" about the problem exotic car rentals in miami or time to fix it. This was an obvious lie to the passengers as the crew started First Class dinner service and beverage service in economy. This process takes a set amount of time. I would guess and hour. It is not possible for the flight crew to have "no information" while at the same time begin meal service. By this time I was going on no sleep at 02:30 PT with a 5:55 flight ahead of me that would put me at Dulles late Sunday afternoon, after my meeting started. I made a decision to simply go home.
The next morning I found that the flight had been cancelled completely by 03:00 PT and those passengers exotic car rentals in miami didn't leave until Sunday morning from SFO on an entirely different flight. The meeting I missed exotic car rentals in miami is an important one. However, it finally became an issue of judging the value of time and effort. I volunteer for my position in APHA as the Chair-Elect for the Law Section. exotic car rentals in miami I am not paid. I would have missed the first night of the meeting. I would have been extremely exhausted. I would have had to then move through Monday's meetings on little sleep and fly back late on Tuesday. The trip already was taking a significant toll on my home life. In the end calculation, I was unwilling to sacrifice any further for the trip that was already a difficulty for my home and professional life. Not attending the meeting will be a detriment to my section at APHA. I hope APHA would take this issue up with United Airlines and its policies.
An active and monitored Twitter account is a huge help. I rely heavily on @DeltaAssist and have not been disappointed. I was using Twitter during my delay and United's account was effectively unmonitored.
Professional, clean and well-fitting uniforms matter as does a direct, polite, clear and professional staff. Direct and helpful information rather than pleasantries is more important. Delta understands this.
Know when to simply cut your loss and move on. I have never been subjected to a 4.5 hour delay on Delta that wasn't related to weather. If the delay is because of mechanical failures, don't try and fix it. Get a new plane, reschedule the flight or cancel. Make a decision quickly. Your passengers might be delayed for a greater period but a clear decision and clear resolution is much more helpful. Practice and simply exotic car rentals in miami act. Be professional.
I'm still waiting on getting my bags back and hope I can get some of the information I need through phone calls with APHA staff. I'm not overly attached to it though. It would suck to lose my bag but nothing in it of real value. Allowing United Airlines to control my reality would have kept me from a wonderful brunch with XinFeng, Lina and Jacob, and Jacob's daughter; and would have kept me from a great dinner with Jacob of Korean fried chicken and soju.

After being promised they would have priority over the newly arrived passengers, UA Flight 87 passen

A Florida woman has learned that being a TSA agent isn't all just fun, games and genital grabbing — it can actually be quite costly. For demonstrating on an agent just how invasive those pat downs are, Carol Jean Price has been convicted of battery.
Here's another reason to think twice before buying one of those five dollar airport sodas: a Colorado news station is reporting that the TSA is testing beverages purchased by passengers inside of the airport.
Patrons at a major New York City airport suffered massive delays rent car in europe over the weekend after a TSA agent was allegedly unaware that the metal detector he was using on routine security screenings was unplugged.
The TSA successfully prevented an alleged rent car in europe terrorist from boarding a JetBlue flight out of Florida on Tuesday. Initial reports describe the suspect as having rent car in europe curly brown hair, around 33 inches in height and really into drinking milk from a bottle.
While a 13 hour flight from China to New Jersey may sound like a nightmare, that's all that 225 United Airlines rent car in europe passengers were wishing rent car in europe for last week when multiple flight cancellations led to a mutiny.
After being promised they would have priority over the newly arrived passengers, UA Flight 87 passengers grew angry when this was not the case. One Chinese passenger initiated a revolt to block the newly arrived passengers from getting on their plane, forming a blockade to prevent the other plane from being boarded.
"That is the only way we're going to get out of here. My crew, the other crew, we want to go as much as you do," the pilot said, whose conversation with passengers was recorded on video. "I can tell you the alternative is, if we don't have cooperation boarding here, these planes may leave empty."
It wasn't until Saturday morning that UA Flight 87 finally made it to Newark Airport. The full refund rent car in europe and $1,000 travel certificate given to each passenger may have calmed some nerves, but it can't erase the nightmare.
"The situation clearly didn't go as smoothly rent car in europe as we would like," a United Airlines representative told the  Star-Ledger . "We did not meet these customers' expectations. We hope they will give us another chance."
The Pentagon's standard operating rent car in europe procedure might have called at one time to fight fire with fire. Their Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or Darpa, is changing rent car in europe that, though, right before our eyes — and ears.
I found these two statement to be very interesting, "They grabbed him by the tie, and they pulled him physically across the counter and started slapping him" Pat Sinko, rent car in europe who witnessed the conflict, told ABC News. "One Chinese passenger initiated rent car in europe a revolt to block the newly arrived passengers from getting on their plane, forming a blockade to prevent the other plane from being boarded".    Can anyone stop and think for one moment what would have happened to these passengers if this were to have happened in an Amerikan airport?  The Department of Homeland Security along with the TSA would have shot, killed, murdered and slaughtered these passengers; there would have been a stack of dead bloody bodies lying at the gate. If the one Chinese passenger who initiated the revolt would have survived the slaughter he would have been charged with inciting terrorism on Amerikan soil and would most likely face the death penalty.
