As part of the Changes to the Immigration Rules laid before Parliament on 5 September 2012, the UKBA has introduced changes marriott hotels and resorts to the list of low risk countries for the purpose of Tier 4 of the points-based system. Botswana and Malaysia marriott hotels and resorts will be added to the list of low-risk countries with effect from 1 October 2012.
Please note that to be considered 'low risk', marriott hotels and resorts you must be sponsored by a Highly Trusted Sponsor, and you must be already in the UK or applying for a Tier 4 visa in your country of nationality. Examples: 1) if you are a citizen of Argentina but your sponsor is not a Highly Trusted Sponsor, you are not considered to be low risk . 2) If you are a citizen of Malaysia and submit your application on or after 1 October 2012 but you submit this in France, you are not considered to be low risk (had you submitted it in Malaysia, you would have been considered low risk ).
