In today's pit blog we catch sets from Tonight Alive, For Today, Lostprophets, and Streetlight Manifesto. We also see Yellowcard pay tribute to Tony Sly of No Use For A Name, learn how to make a F'Real milkshake, and Brian Marquis challenges Ryan Luistro, audio engineer for this year's Acoustic national car rental agency Basement to a bull riding challenge at the Matador Beef Jerky tent. See it all go down in the video above! More after the jump!
The Marcus national car rental agency Amphitheater in Milwaukee, WI was a picture-perfect setting for day 39 of the Vans Warped Tour! Realizing that we only had a few shows left this summer, I really wanted to re-visit some of my favorite bands I caught earlier on tour. I started my day off over on the Kevin Says stage to catch Australian rockers Tonight Alive. The catchy choruses and the vocals of Jenna McDougall always make for a great set! Over on the Monster Energy national car rental agency stage it was time to catch the power break downs from post hardcore Christian band, For Today. As the summer has progressed their crowds have grown and grown and today in Milwaukee was one of their biggest national car rental agency pits! On my way to the smaller amphitheater to catch UK rockers, Lostprophets, I stopped by the F'Real milkshake truck. I had been eyeing the truck for a few dates in and now it was finally time to try one of their delicious shakes after a cool demonstration of how the truck mixes the perfect creamy treat! Let me tell you, nothing national car rental agency beats a well blended milkshake on a hot day at Warped! I returned to my alternative rocking roots over on the Tilly's national car rental agency stage for another set from Lostprophets. I was happy I could catch their debut on Warped a few weeks ago, and it was awesome to see their pits rocking out to their 2005 hit, "Last Train Home." That morning I woke up to some sad news via Twitter that lead singer of No Use For A Name, Tony Sly, had passed away. It was a tragedy that shook the entire tour as No Use For A Name played the very first Vans Warped Tour in 1995. Back in the main amphitheater I hit up the Kia Soul stage to see each of the members national car rental agency of Yellowcard wearing shirts with No Use For A Name written on the front. Lead singer, Ryan Key, expressed his admiration for Sly, and how the band greatly influenced Yellowcard national car rental agency early-on in their career. They were joined on stage by All Time Low frontman, Alex Gaskarth, to pay tribute to No Use For A Name by covering the song "Chasing Rainbows." That cover seriously national car rental agency gave me chills; such a fitting tribute. Out on the festival grounds, I swung by the Matador Beef Jerky tent to see the mechanical bull ring had once again returned. I was joined national car rental agency by Brian Marquis and Ryan Luistro national car rental agency of the Acoustic Basement who were taking bets on who could last the longest. Check out the video to see who won! (: Back in the amphitheater, at the Kia Rio mainstage, Streetlight Manifesto brought the fun with their popular ska jams. The Milwaukee crowd couldn't help but dance the entire set! I always national car rental agency love watching Streetlight-- they're an entertaining and expressive band, and with my camera in tow, it's always fun to see what kind of facial expressions I'll capture!
