Prices for rooms at participating hotels are offered on a three-tier system of $100, $200 or $250/night (these amounts do not include taxes). Now in its second year, the list of participating properties has grown from eight to 26; half of this year's hotels fall into the $100/night pricing tier. It's no coincidence that this offer comes at one of the slowest business periods in the New York hotel year.
"Last year's first-ever Hotel Week generated 500 room nights for the eight participating hotels. In 2013, we hope to double these numbers at a time when every hotel could benefit from incremental business," says Hotel Week founder Nancy Friedman in a news release. "This is a great time for hotel guests to take advantage of the many post-holiday sales and have a relaxing, affordable vacation."
