Boutique hotels and I seem to have a long romantic affair. For some reason, while I ve enjoyed good experiences with chain hotels, boutique hotels are much more down my alley. And while I did not make my own reservations for the Intercontinental Montreal Hotel (located in Old Montreal, on St. Antoine), I ended up enjoying a great degree of comfort. There were a couple of minor hiccups only, not major.
At the InterContinental Montreal, we have just one objective: to create for you a delightful, passion-filled experience that will live on forever in your memory. The perfect blend of intimate boutique hotel atmosphere and the peerless service of a luxurious oxford hotels Four-Diamond hotel, the InterContinental Montreal offers the best of both worlds. Entirely transformed after spectacular renovations completed in 2009, the InterContinental Montreal flaunts the perfect alliance of rich historical heritage and the fresh contemporary design. Elegantly overlooking the international business area with its 26-storey turret, the hotel is located above the Montreal World Trade Centre between Old Montreal and the business district. Ideally positioned for a business trip or cultural getaway.
For the most my experience was seamless and gratifying. I found my room extremely spacious and comfortable. My photos may not do justice since I arrived after midnight and was exhausted and all I wanted to do was sleep. But the size of the room could very easily accommodate 3 people oxford hotels (I stayed alone, though).
I love it when boutique hotels have dedicated desks that are at a substantial distance from the bed/resting oxford hotels area. Having oxford hotels a little oxford hotels working area allowed me to concentrate on work while separating it from the sleeping area. The only other place where I ve seen a better separation than this is the Beach Club Resort in Parksville, BC, and that s because of the mega size of the rooms there. But the room here was really big too.
The one thing I did not like was that the bottle of water wasn t complimentary (something I found extremely annoying, oxford hotels it was $7.00 per bottle). The above said, I m not a fan of bottled water so it wasn t a big deal. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at the Intercontinental Montreal. The customer service is excellent and they even let me practice my somewhat-rusty French. The Intercontinental Montreal is located right besides the offices of the organization that brought me to Montréal for my research meetings, right across from where our meetings were (Palais des Congrés) and right besides Place des Armes Metro station, which is fantastic. Overall, an excellent experience that I look forward to replicate next time I go to Montreal for research purposes.
Disclosure: My stay at The Intercontinental Montreal Hotel was sponsored very generously by the organization that brought me to Montreal for scholarly purposes. I paid for every other expense I incurred on during my trip. I wasn t paid to write this review, nor was I required to do so either. The purpose of this blog entry is just to describe my experience at the hotel. In any review I write or publish on my site, I retain editorial control at all times. Should you have any questions/concern feel free to contact me via e-mail through oxford hotels my contact form .
That looks like a lovely hotel, Raul a little bit quirky, loads of style, and YAY boutique! Thanks for reviewing it so I have an option for my own stay, whenever I next visit. BTW, if you have folks visiting Vancouver, I stayed oxford hotels in The Victoria Hotel in gastown (boutique) and fell in love with it.
