The weather has been so mild this Fall that it seems almost impossible that it is already almost November. The leaves in Central Park are still quite green! But that hasn t stopped me from participating in some of my favorite New York City Fall activities.
To kick off the autumn season, my friends and I went on a wine tour in North Fork , Long Island in late September. Last year, we went to the Hudson Valley and visited Glorie Farms Winery and Benmarl Winery . We had such a great time that we knew we wanted to do it again.
We got a good deal off of the website Travel Zoo  which brought down the price of the tour by almost half. It was organized through the bus company Hampton Luxury Liner  which sets up tourist transportation in the New York City Area. The bus was very nice and our driver was friendly and safe.
The bus fits about 40 people and on the day that we went, they had two going from Manhattan united kingdom physical map to North Fork. There is a lot to do at Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard, but I think it would have been nice to fit one more visit in during the day. Baiting Hollow has a great set up with tastings both indoors and out. They are also a horse rescue. You can go on a tour of the barns and hear about the history of the rescue and the stories of each of their horses.
Throughout the day, Baiting Hollow has bands playing and you can sit and enjoy them on one of the many picnic tables they have set up outside. They have a nice gift shop and various jewelry vendors that stop by week to week. This is also where we had lunch. We could choose from local homemade united kingdom physical map options such as Merlot Meatballs, cheese plates, lobster rolls, BBQ pork sliders and other sandwiches.
