Some tourists calling for taxis at Walt Disney World hotels have been the victims of a scam. Nankishore Ramkisoon, 53, was arrested last week for picking up guests at the hotels and after receiving round-trip payment, not showing up for the return trip. Ramkisoon was caught by two pairs of undercover detectives. They booked trips through Mears to go to SeaWorld and were each picked up by a white Chevy Astro van and a driver who claimed to be from Mears. According to the report, the driver "asked for $38 for each round-trip fare and gave a false number for the passengers to call for the return trip." cruise disney vacation walt He provided a Mears receipt for the trip. Reports of the scam started surfacing in November, when Disney guests started letting resort employees know what was happening. Disney did reimburse some of the guests for the money they had lost by being overcharged or stranded at their destination.
Ramkisoon is no stranger to the law.
