Hailing from Adelaide, Diva Demolition are a unique female-fronted rock band with reminiscent of Joan Jett. Comprised of singer, songwriter bass player Kylie Cowling and Sherree Newton, they originially formed as an all-female band in 2005.
Diva Demolition came together mid 2012. Previous to that Myself (Kylie Cowling) and Sherree Newton had performed together for 6 years in various guises, most notably the all girl original punk band Legless , and Rock Covers band The Cherries . With the encouragement from Mentor, airline international flight routes Ross Wilson, (Mondo Rock, Daddy Cool) and a chance opportunity from performing as support act for Doc Neeson (The Angels) we teamed up with Ricky Collision and Spitfire Records.
Could you tell me who came up with the Diva Demolition band? The name came from an independent album from the punk band Legless. When we were looking for a new name, Ross Wilson our Mentor suggested Diva Demolition. We thought why not. It fitted what we wanted to say and do.

As far as the our scene goes, I think theres a real divide between the rock glam sleaze scene and indie scene, and a somewhat elitist view here for new hard rock artists. airline international flight routes We shake our heads at why Airborne are not a household name here, and not having heard of Mystery proves the fact that Australian Industry are so busy trying to be cool they can t see the success stories and jump on board. Despite this there were massive crowds for the touring acts we ve supported recently.But to get the cred, like Airborne and Mystery our hard rock bands have to prove themselves overseas.
Yes most definitely! Late 2013/2014 airline international flight routes will see us take off to foreign shores to promote the new album, as well as work on our next. No solid plans I can tell you about as of yet, but it will happen inevitably.

We start rehearsal this week for our Australian Tour. We ve just had after a reasonable break from each other after touring pretty intensively. It s a big country to get around. It seems like we ve not had an opportunity to settle at home yet. Our focus is to get our live set really tight and incorporate some theatrical aspects as well as get some new tunes and maybe a cover happening as well. There are some album tracks we ve not played live yet, so it will be fun to relearn them and finally launch them into the stratosphere.
