My wife and I are going on our first cruise next week out of NYC to the Bahamas. We plan on doing some shopping in Nassau and was wondering if it was better have cash on hand and not use credit comparison of rental car costs while inhawaii to avoid any identity theft issues or is using credit generally safe and you don t have to worry about carrying large amount of cash. sfsizzy: Or maybe it doesn t matter either way We have used CC and cash in the Bahamas, no problems. HOWEVER, we also notified our bank that we would be there during x/xx/xx thru yy/yy/yy. We also have a CC that has the RFID chip embedded into it, but even before we got it we still had no problems.
