New York City is one of my favorite luxury hotels rome places to vacation but if you aren t careful your trip can be a real budget buster. The good news is there are tons of low cost or free activities in New York City . You just have to find them.
When my friends and I visit New York City we usually stay outside of Manhattan. We usually stay in Brooklyn near a subway station. Within 20 or so minutes we can be on the island of Manhattan and start exploring. Just make sure you read the hotel reviews on Trip Advisor before you book to make sure you are in a safe area of town.
If you love people watching luxury hotels rome head to Times Square.  Times Square is located on Broadway and 7th Avenue and stretching from 42nd Street to 47th. You can spend time watching street performers or sit on the big red stairs. There are a few budget places you can eat around times square like Shake Shack.
Walking the Brooklyn Bridge is one of my favorite activities. I usually start from the Manhattan side and walk across to Brooklyn and find a place that serves an Brooklyn egg creme. The walk can take anywhere from 25-60 each way minutes depending on your shape and how many stops you take to admire the view of either Manhattan or Brooklyn.
