Overall, holiday inn website our stay was OK. We would maybe stay there again (non-peak season), just had higher expectations due to the pictures and descriptions given. When we first arrived, we drove past it initially and when we realized that was it, there was a pause for a few seconds as we drove in. The car port is VERY narrow, we have a Camry and couldn't use it. I wouldn't stay here during peak season for the pricing, you could probably find a much bigger/nicer cabin for the same price.
holiday inn website People previously said the owner/agent made sure everything was ok with their stay, I never heard anything from her before/during/after our stay. I only heard from her a few months prior when we booked the property. When we called the same week to check about early check-in (as she indicated for us to do) she was kind of short with us. Must have caught her at a busy time.
It was the first time we were in big bear!my kids had a great the time.The cabin was so great and cozy!The holiday inn website owener of the cabin was so great and helpfull and made sure that everything was going well for us.We would definately go back next year!!!!
We were very pleased with Black Diamond Lodge. Everything that was described online was available to us when we got there. Theresa is very helpful. If you have a question or need to reach her, she is just a phone call away and is always holiday inn website there to help. The best part of the cabin was the huge fully fenced yard for our dog. We will definitely be returning for Winter 2012!!

Cabin is as described with nice wood and slate floors for easy snow clean up! Theresa is most accomodating and follows up to make sure all is well, even during holiday inn website snow storm. Can't ask for more than that. We will be rent this cabin again.
The only bad part about this home is having to leave it! It was clean, decorated great and fully stocked with kitchen accessories. We would've loved to have Christmas as this home but it was booked. It screamed cozy fires, wine and long naps!!!! We can't wait to go back!
My friend and I just spent a week in this vacation home. It was perfect. holiday inn website The home was clean and neat. What we really liked was the large backyard for the dogs and the fact that we could bring them and not have to kennel them. They enjoyed holiday inn website the vacation as much as we did.
When I lived in LA I went to Big Bear every year for Oktoberfest holiday inn website and a few times during the summer to get away from the city. I stayed at the Black Diamond Lodge on my final visit to Big Bear and not only was it the least expensive place I had visited, it was by far the nicest. The cabinets were stocked with just about every kind of spice and warm drink mix you could imagine. The thing that stuck out the most - as weird as this sounds - was that I had the best shower of my life in that cabin. The water was the cleanest I've ever felt and the pressure was absurd (in a good way). Thank you for providing such a fantastic location. I'm a fan on facebook and I'll be out again for Oktoberfest this year. I hope I can get get a space before you are all booked up.
We stayed here on memorial weekend. It was my families first time up to Big Bear. The weather was great and the peacefulness was so nice and serene. The cabin was everything said to be and it fit our family of 5 adults and two small chldren just fine. The playstation did not work when we got there, but that didnt stop the children holiday inn website from having fun. They enjoyed playing in the backyard and making smores holiday inn website in the fireplace. The kitchen was nice and was fully stocked with kitchen items. All the kithchen holiday inn website items were all used for baking and cooking. We did not find a wine bottle opener in which one was needed for our stay. We were also in need of some trash bags but we went and bought some at stator brothers while we went and bought groceries aswell for our stay. We didnt have a chance to use the bbq provided because my husband said that the propane was loose. The master bathroom's heater works great! Bedrooms are comfortable. The home offers many dvds to watch and is close to the movies, shops, restaurants and fishing! The kids loved the big bear zoo in which we met rescued holiday inn website animals and birds...its great you gotta take your kids here! We also did the pirate adventure tour boat. And rented a platoon boat for the whole family and had a picnic and fished out on the lake one day! Overall holiday inn website we had a great time. We will definetly return. We had a very nice time. Beautiful weather with plenty holiday inn website of snow on the ground. The cabin was clean, the couch is worn, a broken tile in entry way. Missed not having a Barbeque. This was our first Winter trip to Big Bear and the cabin we rented was beyond our expectations. It was so welcoming & cozy and the perfect amount of space for all of us. The enclosed backyard was perfect for my 3 year old grand daughter and being able to go across the street to sled was also great. The cabin was perfectly stocked with games, DVD's, hot chocolate, holiday inn website coffee, spices, cooking items. Theresa was so great to work with, answered all our questions and gave us plenty of information with things to do and discount tickets.
