We can’t wait to see all of you this weekend for Mother’s Day festivities! It is the 100 th anniversary of the Mother’s Day tradition. We know that every mom has different tastes, from those that want relax and ride The Scenic Sky Chair to those that we may see out biking and hiking on the big trails. One thing that all of our moms have in common is that they are going to get hungry adventure travel at some point. You’re going to have to take them out, but where to go? Big Bear Lake has its fair share of places of good places to eat, and we are going to offer the ones that our guests (and our staff) enjoy going to the most.
Grizzly Manor Café – Listed as part of Travel Channel’s 101 More Amazing Places to Chowdown (number seven!), this is the place to start off any day here at Big Bear Lake. They have an extensive menu, including adventure travel local favorites like The Blob, The Mess, and pancakes that are bigger adventure travel than the plate. Make sure you get there a little early, since the lines can be long. But the wait is worth it.
Whiskey Dave’s – Mom a little adventure travel bit more rock and roll? Stop here and check out the live bands, new food menu, and big whiskey selection here. It is located in what used to be Chad’s Place, with improved adventure travel pool tables and dart boards. If you stay late enough to close the place, you may even encounter a different sort of spirit: the employees adventure travel have seen some ghostly things happening around the bar in the early morning hours.
El Jacalito – Craving something with some spice up in the mountains? El Jacalito to the rescue! A short drive from the cabins, they offer a delicious salsa bar and plenty of food. And if mom is a fan of tequila, there is an impressive selection there for her to sample.
Big Bear Lake Brewing Company – Maybe your mother prefers beer. A delightful, local, handcrafted adventure travel beer, for example. The Big Bear Lake Brewing Company is the newest restaurant in the area, and we have been drinking it in (pun intended). They offer six of their own beers brewed on site, as well as a gourmet pub menu and friendly atmosphere. adventure travel If you have not been to the mountain in a while, here is something new for you to experience.
Cowboy Express Steakhouse – There is a little something for everyone here, but the reason you go is for the steaks. They have some of the best steaks in the area, ranging from a traditional just-off-the-grill steak to one enhanced with a variety of flavors and sauces. If steak is not for you, their menu provides other tasty items for you to enjoy. Don’t forget to check out their wine list, either!
Nottinghams Tavern – If there is a big event going on in the area, or you are looking for a place to celebrate, Nottinghams is the place to be. They have a wide selection adventure travel of lunch and dinner options that should please adventure travel every palate, and can accommodate any size group. You can come here for a romantic getaway or a huge celebration. They are even getting ready to celebrate mom this Sunday with a special menu for the occasion .
