Our hotel room was beside the kitchen and as others have pointed out it's quite noisy in the morning

RomanLife 2 cents: The hotel has a refined and elegant ambience, which many tourist reviews suggest surpass its 3 stars rating. At the same time the Aberdeen Hotel Rome can still offer better rates than hotels travelocity coupons and codes located in the more central travelocity coupons and codes historical areas of Rome, like Trevi Fountain, Campo de Fiori, Pantheon and Piazza Navona. (Make sure to specify in your booking that you would like a room away from the kitchen area.)
See a map showing the position of Aberdeen Hotel Rome Italy and other hotels in the Quirinal area of Rome . We also have a page dedicated to the Quirinal Repubblica area - maps, things to do, transport, shopping, nightlife etc.
The Aberdeen Hotel Rome is located close to Rome's historical center. It is an approximate 2 or 3 minute taxi ride from Termini Station, or a 3 minute walk from the Repubblica Metro stop (the next stop after Termini).
I saw the Aberdeen Hotel Rome listed in Rick Steves guide of Rome and so booked it and was very pleased with the location. It's about 10-15 minutes' walk from the main termini travelocity coupons and codes train station. We walked almost everywhere, including to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Borghese Gallery.
We were given a discount for showing our Rick Steves book. Enjoyed the free use of internet and the quiet spacious and private room. When we had to leave early to catch our train and didn't have time for breakfast, travelocity coupons and codes they gave us some croissants to take along.
Firstly, what a great location the hotel Aberdeen Rome is. Very near to the Metro Repubblica stop. Bars, restaurants, clothes shops are all within a few minutes walking distance from the hotel, however the Metro is so close, cheap and easy that we used that every day.
The Hotel Aberdeen Rome was very impressive to look at. I enjoyed the fact there are only 35 rooms in the hotel and has a more personal feel to it. The staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They recommended some excellent local Roman restaurants.
There are many reviews on the breakfast room, perhaps the only minus is its location as you have to walk past peoples rooms in the morning, so it may be noisy for those staying in them. But the majority of rooms are on the complete opposite side of the hotel, so you could always ask for a room on the opposite side.
Overall the Aberdeen Hotel Rome Italy was excellent value for money and is in a great location from which to go Rome sightseeing. I highly recommend it so please do not overlook this beautiful little hotel.
We stayed at Hotel Aberdeen Rome Italy during two stages of our Italy trip. The staff were very helpful, travelocity coupons and codes we made arrangements to leave some of our luggage behind travelocity coupons and codes while on a short trip to the Italian coast. When we returned four days later, they had already moved our luggage from the storage area into our hotel rooms! The staff were always ready to help and make recommendations for restaurants, call cabs, give directions and even reservations for another hotel. I never felt rushed while they were helping us!
I arranged to stay a day earlier than the tour. Mariano was wonderful and patiently travelocity coupons and codes answered all of my questions prior to my arrival in Rome. I utilized their Fiumicino airport pick-up and drop-off service, travelocity coupons and codes which was approximately what a Rome Taxi would have cost, I believe it was money well spent for the peace of mind, and hassle free trip.
The location of the hotel Aberdeen couldn't be beat! The hotel is right around the corner from the Rome Metro and the bus station at Termini. Places to eat were numerous and close by (next door, across travelocity coupons and codes the street, around the corner)! The Tabacco shop was right there, we went there to buy metro/bus tickets. This was a few doors down from the hotel, right off Via Nazionale Street- a major street with plenty of eating options and shops. Plus the majority of the Rome major sights are in any case within travelocity coupons and codes walking distance if you don't want to take the Rome Metro or bus.
The hospitality of the Aberdeen hotel Rome is why I would return. Sabrina and Mariano, the hotel receptionists, were there the majority of the time, and they were the best!! Be sure to ask them about some Rome dinner options! They have a variety of suggestions nearby in the Quirinal neighborhood.
The bedroom and breakfast room attendants were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was in the vicinity of the kitchen so as others have mentioned it's a great wake up call if you need to be going by 5:30 Am, but would be problematic if you were hoping to sleep in.
I enjoyed the superb breakfasts: croissants, pastries, ham, rolls, cereals, fruits, granola, American coffee, travelocity coupons and codes juices, and cappuccino! Italians eat later than we do in the U.S. (arriving at dinner by 8pm or later) so breakfasts are lighter and lunch is heavier.
Just around the corner is a late night internet cafe which sells international phone cards. 200 minutes for 5 Euros! You can also use them to call the US from your hotel room with no additional charge! So you can avoid the hassle of cell phones, SIM cards, etc.
In the US I am a Sofitel, Westin, Hyatt, Omni hotel kind of gal. But overseas I like to stay in the local establishments. Hotel Aberdeen Rome Italy is a small, quaint, "Inn" style hotel that has a wonderful local flavor. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Aberdeen Hotel Rome Italy on Via Firenze is a great place to stay in Rome. It has super friendly staff, it's meticulously clean, and has a handy location. It's only a few of blocks travelocity coupons and codes from the Termini train station, a metro stop and numerous bus lines on the Via Nazionale. At the same time, you are able to sleep without the city noises.
The Aberdeen travelocity coupons and codes hotel Rome provides two free Internet connected computers. We also were provided with breakfast and there is a mini bar in the room. Prices on mini bar items are equal to the price charged by street vendors.
Looking at the facade of the Aberdeen Hotel Rome Italy doesn't hint that it is a hotel. We were dropped off by our taxi in front of a building with two huge closed doors - like a fortress. There is a small panel to the right with the hotel's name on it. The Hotel staff were pleasant and helped us carry our luggage to the 1st floor.
Getting to our hotel room was like going through a hallway maze. The room size is bigger travelocity coupons and codes than the other Rome hotel we stayed in but the interior furnishings are modest. travelocity coupons and codes They have an electronic safe which was much appreciated. Some bathroom tiles and tub caulking could use some re-grouting.
Our hotel room was beside the kitchen and as others have pointed out it's quite noisy in the morning. We did not mind this as we used the noise as our wake up call. It was also noisy on the street despite the double glazed window.
They have a good selection for breakfast with cereals and fruits and the usual ham, cheese, breads, etc. They also have a cappuccino machine which we greatly appreciated. They also have Internet to check email and help find Rome attractions.
The location is excellent, close to a Metro station, Repubblica; and once you are on the Metro you can get to most of Rome's attractions. The hotel staff helped us with directions and gave us tips on where to shop.
I stayed at the Aberdeen Hotel Rome during Jan 2008 and was very happy with this hotel. The hotel is located near Termini Train/bus station - and being near the transportation hub was important to me. Honestly, I walked almost travelocity coupons and codes everywhere when I stayed in Rome. It's a fun city to walk, you see more, and it balances out the overeating!
The hotel Aberdeen is on a quiet street just off a main street. There is no shortage of shops or places to grab a quick bite. I really enjoyed the little mom and pop deli across the street, and went there often. It was nice to have a local non-touristy place across travelocity coupons and codes the street where I could go for a toasted sandwich and glass wine - without too much trouble.
The front desk staff at the Aberdeen hotel were always helpful, and are fluent in English. Many nights I would go down just to chat with the young man at the desk. He taught me some Italian, and I guess I taught him a little travelocity coupons and codes English. One night I went down and noticed he was on his cellphone, I motioned I would come back later , but he yelled out "no wait I want to exercise my English". That will remain with me forever, as I had no idea he was enjoying our conversations travelocity coupons and codes as much as I was.
The hotel room and bathroom were very clean. The room came with everything one would need: Cable TV, telephone, fridge bar, safe, hairdryer, and the heated towel rack. I loved it when I opened the room up for some fresh air, and could see laundry hanging across the buildings. So Italian! The down side was the beds were a little stiff. I also would have to add that being near the breakfast room was my wake up every morning, which I guess was nice since I needed to be up early for my Rome tour group.
I enjoyed the breakfast, it was not a big English breakfast, but a nice Italian one just the same. There was always an abundance of bread, fresh fruit, meat, cheese, cereals and juice etc. I tried to stay away from the internet to remove myself from my distractions back home and just BE in Italy. Although on my last day I went to the computer room to use their free internet service. travelocity coupons and codes Great to have it so conveniently located.
I would stay at the Aberdeen hotel R
