@ RedWanderer  Yeah honestly, though I am happy those women were rescued after about a decade, it's

The State Department was at fault for failing to have a clear emergency response plan in the hours following the Benghazi attack, which might have otherwise saved the lives of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens travel guides websites and three other Americans who died in the incident on Sept. 11, 2012.
I don t disagree travel guides websites with anything that that anonymous special operations operator said on Fox News. The issue is all along that the State Department is at fault, said Webb, co-author of Benghazi: the Definitive Report.
...In the early 1970s Congress travel guides websites was scheduled to hold hearings about the criminal actions of the government armory.  They had tried to rig tests to kill the M16... and when that failed they "fiddled" with the weapon.  It was designed for stick powder, but the armory demanded ball powder (slight advantage in Arctic environments... of course used in tropics...)  Ball powder caused no end of stoppages and other problems.
...Armory *tested* travel guides websites and certified all M-16s using remaining stick powder... then sent weapons out to be used in the field with ball powder. travel guides websites Forward assist assembly and other modifications needed... Men died in the field before it all got sorted out.  Congress prepared to take the scoundrels to task... Then, just before the hearings were to start, Watergate exploded and the hearings were never held.
...The Boston bombing held the attention of the media and the masses... and now,  just as it was looking like Benghazi was going to be exposed to sunlight... the kidnapped women story.  While certainly glad that they are free (though better police work years ago might have had them free long ago) the story has pushed Benghazi off the "front page"  Unlike Watergate, the kidnapping not of critical interest to the Republic... Even Fox news has gone for the higher ratings and for now has made it the top story.
One of the things folks can do is fire off an email to CNN right now and ask them why they're not broadcasting the hearing.  The Cleveland story right now is just analysis, which is what CNN is broadcasting. The hearing is news.  Email your network and ask them to fire off emails to CNN as well.  There are ways around the walls.
@ RedWanderer  Yeah honestly, though I am happy those women were rescued after about a decade, it's time to move on now. Move back to Benghazi or something. We know all the relevant news out of Cleveland, travel guides websites time to return to another important travel guides websites story, a more important story for the nation travel guides websites as a whole, long term, Big picture wise.. Benghazi is the result of the leadership(or lack thereof)of the President and future presidential candidate.
As a businesswoman, I watch a lot of CSNBC (sorry about my mispelling) and they will spend a ton of time on news stories when they want to.  For example, they were doing the NKorea story all day long ....as much as CNN and Fox.  Same for any news story that's hot.  It's typical censorship.  I DID just see MSNBC do an update with Andrea Mitchell, but damn that woman is so biased. She looked like she had the flu- that's how much he hated having to report it.
@ MR151   @ RedWanderer  I can understand why CNBC isn't airing since they are a business network travel guides websites and on Squawkbox travel guides websites (their morning show), they have both liberal and conservative hosts. That's where I first found out who Paul Ryan was way before the VP nom.
@ RedWanderer  MSNBC is a lost cause and their ratings have been sucking too for a long time. Keep in mind MSNBC is the network of Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow and that other guy with the sandy hair who's also a major liberal "progressive." Forgot its name.
That's the way it's always been. Humans by nature of technology always travel guides websites want the "new & exciting". Humans are also bore easily. We are not content to live in the shadows of "not knowing". The more horrible travel guides websites and twisted, the better. We surround ourselves with the depravity of others, so we can justify that even with all of our "wrongs", we are just and good
@Virginstateofmind    Perhaps the cup is actually half full with the "other" story.  For the simpletons who find foreign policy too boring or complicated, perhaps this human interest story (which makes my stomach turn btw) will bring more "eyes" travel guides websites to the news to include those who would normally be preoccupied with their tweets, soap operas, sports, or reality shows.
@ YankeePapa seems as if there must be a way to keep it alive and a light shining on it. The fact that it hasn't gone away just yet is promising. With J&B's book and Issa calling them out you'd think someone, perhaps Lara Logan will take the ball and run with it.
...My confidence level is low.  Administrations of both parties have often promised punishment... and said "this shall not stand..." More times than not, little or nothing is done.  In March of 1973 the U.S. Ambassador to the Sudan, another American travel guides websites diplomat and the Belgian ambassador were murdered travel guides websites in the U.S. Embassy by Black September terrorists... Yasser Arafat was clearly implicated in radio intercepts to the killers... the results...?
"...In October 1973, charges against travel guides websites two of the militants were dropped by Sudan for 'insufficient evidence'. A Sudanese court sentenced travel guides websites the other six to life imprisonment before travel guides websites their sentences were reduced to seven years. ......The Sudanese President  decided to delegate the punishment of the perpetrators to their compatriots and handed the six to the custody of the P.L.O.   The next day, the PLO sent the six to Egypt, where they were to serve their sentences (three escaped from Egyptian custody) . In protest of Sudan's handling of this situation, the United States withdrew its ambassador to Sudan and froze economic assistance to Sudan in June. A new US ambassador travel guides websites returned to Sudan in November that year, and aid resumed in 1976.   In 1986 the Justice Department travel guides websites decided that they lacked jurisdiction for trying Arafat.
@M-Rod, I can't get down there now, but to answer your question about the MSM, yes, my comment about the media was dripping in sarcasm. :)  I forget that not everyone has seen my many rants about the MSM throughout the internet.
With all due respect, RVN SF VET, some of us are highly trained to connect dots.   And some of us are used to relying on deductive and inductive reasoning along with patterns and historical knowledge to enhance what may be incomplete facts to come up with relatively accurate assessments.
And as for it being partisan, I suspect you wouldn't call it partisan travel guides websites when I was also busy firing off emails from Iraq in the early days to either my political representatives, to members of the media, or to the IG about problems I was directly aware of.
@ RedWanderer The dots that we all connected (as any competent Infantryman could) on the first day following the attack was that it was a preplanned terrorist attack. Long before the phony statements 5 days later, there were competing stories coming out from intelligence and other agencies. For example, it became public that the Station Chief's immediate report travel guides websites was of a terrorist attack. Then we heard that the report was "put on a stack" for comparison with other sources! The initial dots were of a confusing nature mixing apparent (but wrong) incompetence with possible political interference. When several intelligence agencies farmed-out to contractors the question of the mortars travel guides websites being preplanned or not; it became apparent that they were passing the buck to avoid political pressure. If you connect the dots before that decision was passed to contractors, then you are clairvoyant.
There are no less than 2 highly trained, active civilian intelligence analysts on this blog. There are others whose SOF involvement has brought them into both collection and analysis. The specific individuals I recall did not suggest a coverup until the Rice statements. I had been thinking stupidity and ignorance of military travel guides websites operations was the cause. A widespread and multi-agency coverup only became apparent to me upon reading the Congressional committee report. travel guides websites Prior to that, many of us were pissed at losing Ty and Glenn while analyzing the possibility of a military response and the action or inaction of the NCA. To help me, I was reading "Benghazi: The Definitive travel guides websites Report."
Roger, RVN SF VET.  Good post.  I'm referring to the fact that incompetence and lying were pretty easy for anyone to see very early on.   I'm basically challenging the word, "partisan."  It's ok, this isn't worth debating; I think we're all basically on the same sheet with regard to the important stuff now.
The People must be led, like no mass of Privates you ever met.   Privates are still soldiers.   The People have become cattle who think only of their next mouthful of grain.   This is the Human norm.
I'm not new to the media.  You can waste years or decades if you like attempting to "inform the public".  You can continue to be seduced [as I have been] by the Siren Song of Reason.   Said Sirens seduce Men of Action into thinking ..LO - if only I show them the Truth and point them at their Duty...they will Do Their Duty.    NO.    You are confusing yourselves with them, if Right and Reason had any Force behind them...*WE travel guides websites would not exist*.
You exist, we exist, all Oaths Exist because Right and Reason on their own have no force or propulsion.   Our Oaths exist to bind us to Action and Duty when mere job and vocation are not enough.   Our Oaths exist to bind us to seeing it through when Reason and Interest travel guides websites scream STOP and walk away.  We men of Violence exist because Right and Reason have themselves travel guides websites no Force.
Our Oaths hold us to the course when it's not just difficult but seems hopeless.  When for instance you know you've been abandoned to fate and a battalion of death is howling all round for your American Blood.   Reason travel guides websites did not compel the Men of the Annex who went to the Ambassadors Mission's travel guides websites aid, nor orders for they disobeyed orders.  ORDERS kept all other help from coming.   Duty compelled many, Comrades and Countrymen cried out for help from many close enough to aid, Duty compelled t
