I agree with you because if we do get involved and try to help people like Paul in these istuations
How responsible is the USA as the most powerful nation in the world, hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center to help people in the case of genocide? Should we get involved? Cite examples from the film to support your claims. This time I want to see at least 5 responses to other posts or conversation in the same post by the end of the week.
As wrong as it may seems, I do not think the USA should get involved in this. Many people would disagree with me, but I do not think it would be worth it. I do not think it would be worth wasting our money, sending out military troops, and also starting drama with other nations. I also do not feel that it is our responsibility to care and need for other nations, like Rwanda. Of course helping them would benefit them, but is it really worth it for us? Is it worth the money wasting? The drama it is going to cause? I really do not think so.
I don think that the U.S. would waste the money. Anything that we would have done would have helped. hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center I think they chose not to help becuase of the problems they were already facing in U.S. It wouldn t of been a waste of money at all if they helped.
I agree with you the U.S.A. shouldn't hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center get involved in the Rwanda crisis. Even though you may think that maybe no body may agree, well I agree with you, plus yeah it is not even worth it. Also, if we send our troops over thousands of them may die, plus it would cost a lot of money just to transport our soldiers Rwanda. I think it might be helpful to help the Tutsis defend for their independence, but otherwise I agree with you. Plus, it's not really worth helping Rwanda, and yes money will be wasted. Finally, you're right it is not worth helping Rwanda.
I agree because of everything that goes on in the world because of us helping . Because what if we stopped hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center something going on between 2 countries and the other country wants war with us? I don t think it s our place to get involved in anything everyone else is having problems with. It would be too costly for Americans.
No country is stupid hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center enough to attack us because hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center we are the strongest nation in the world, and who would get mad for breaking up a massacre? The Hutus? its not like they are going to do anything besides just express hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center there opinions. It can save thousands and thousands of lives so wer should step in.
Well us helping stopped the Holocaust from continuing, that isn t something bad that us helping caused. While yes us helping could cause problems hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center think about it if we had a country try to start a genocide against people in America. Would you want other countries to help us or just ignore us and let us die?
No we shouldnt have because in helping the tutis we encourage other countries to trun to us for help which causes more problems in the U.S because then the war worriness level rises and more money the United States doesnt hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center have is being wasted for what a group of people killing hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center each other in happens all the time.So no we shouldnt
I agree, just because they can t help us now or they don t seem like they could do much doesn t mean they can t help at all or eventually help. Think about it if they are able to kill 800,000 people in 100 days would they be better as an ally or an enemy?
I think that the U.S should have gotten involved because if something like this was happening to us we would want other countries to come and help us. It doesn t matter about the money if inocient people are being killed just because they are a different group of people we should do anything wer can to help.
this would never happen in the U.S there are too many rules and regulations to let this happen plus we are the strongest country in the world our power would be wasted over a country thats invaulable to us.
I agree with your thought here. Seeing as the USA is the most powerful nation in the world, it would make us look even better by going to intervene and help the people of Rwanda. Being a powerful hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center nation means that we are capable of helping other countries in need.
I can see where your coming from. Risky our nation is going to benifit us in any way. Of course if i were from Rwanda i would feel that the idea is completly outrageous and that the US has no heart. Unfortunately, i m not, so i have to agree with you.
Andrew has a good point. We are starting hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center drama with Africa. Africa isn't coming in our country and telling us what to do. We would not like if a country came into the U.S and tried to tell us what to do. We should just stay in our country at all the time, unless another country is threatening us.
I don t think that there is necessarily such a thing as starting hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center drama with another country. There is a reason that the USA is such a powerful nation, and that is because we have come to the aid of many other countries in the past. The USA didn t become so powerful over night. We did many things to get to the position we are in now, even if it meant sacrifice.
I dont agree with this, I dont think the US would waste there money helping other people get out of trouble. hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center We are the most powerful nation in the world, so if thats the case why not step up and help Rawanda from being attacked by the Tutsis. What if we were in the situation and we were getting attacked and Rawanda was the most powerful nation in the world, wouldnt we want their help?
Even though the USA getting involved in genocides would probably benefit other people and would be the right thing to do, I don't think that the USA should get involved because it would just hurt the US population and it would only come with more worries hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center and troubles that the country might not be able to handle right now. Considering that genocides are only mass murders of a certain group of people, I think that they are really dangerous and could cost the USA a huge lose in valuable money and materials. Not only could an involvement in genocides cause a loose of the amount of money and materials, but it could also damage the reputation of the USA. As seen in the movie Hotel Rwanda, we saw that once people found out that Paul was helping the Tutsis they ignored and disobeyed hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center what he told them to do. If the USA ever got involved in genocides, other countries hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center might look at the US as weak links and not give the USA the respect or acknowledgment that we deserve. Not only would these things hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center happen as a result as helping out with genocides, but also how could other Americans see the blood of their fellow friends and family? I don't think anyone could see the hurt in their country like that. It would only hurt our nation more than we ever wanted it to.
im not sure how it would harm the population we are going to rwanda, it is the un that is going, primarily hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center the belgain and french. we just have to vote to allow them to go to rwanda. and we really would lose any money either
I agree with you because if we do get involved and try to help people like Paul in these istuations it could downgrade the US. If we ever get into a situation like this other countries might not step in because we helped the people that they where fighting against. So getting involved would hurt the US not help.
I agree because even if we were to have a situation hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center i think we could handle oourselves and not need any nations help so the thought of not getting any help because we didnt help wouldnt really make much sense.
I agree with you. It s not at all worthy risking US lives. I admitt it was devastating knowing what happened over there. If i had a choice I would be stuck inbetween whats good for me and whats good for others.
i think that they should, our military is stronger then anyones, so it wouldnt go anywhere further in my eyes. The Hutus had machettes and only little guns, we have a army that can wipe out a country in 5 minutes.
True, the US gets involved hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center in wars that last years just because the middle east has oil, and lots of money is spent and lives are lost here we could have done something that would be easy considering our weapons. Maybe just the threat of the US getting involved could have saved a lot of the people over there. No country should just wipe out an entire nationality of people. Its wrong on so many levels.
I don t understand whta you mean by harming our population. The USA is more than capable to help a country such as Rwanda. As an American, I would take pride in knowing that our country did everything hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center they could to help another country in need.
People may think it is wrong to not help the Rwandans, but you still have to think about the problems that it may cause for the U.S. If the U.S help Rwanda, it will create a relationship with Rwanda, but the negatives out weigh the positives. The positive thing about helping Rwanda to prevent the genocide will make the Rwandans friendly towards the U.S. The negative thing about helping them is that it may cause conflict against the Hutus. It can also cause the U.S to lose many men in the fight to prevent this genocide. Another negative thing about trying to help Rwanda is that it will cause the U.S to waste a lot of money for transportation and other things. I do not think that the U.S should get involved with this situation.
I concur with you in saying that we should help the Tutsis plus even we did help when we go and help them we could be forming alliance with the Tutsis hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center and Rwanda. We could be getting so many materials that we couldn't even get in the U.S.A. Also maybe the Hutus may realize to stop picking on the Tutsis because they are people too. Plus even if we don't help this problem could be still continuing to happen or it's going to repeat itself. Yeah, if we didn't even lend a hand the accident the event could be put to an end so we could help clean up another hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center country's mess.
I disagree because what could the Rwandans help us with? They are a small country anyway and not too powerful. After losing many Tutsis their population would be smaller and the Hutus wouldn;t help either because we stopped their killing of the Tutsis.
I understand where you are coming from, helping Rwanda hilton garden inn atlanta perimeter center may lead to many difficulties in the US
