Well, as you've undoubtedly heard, both domestic Disney Parks have raised their ticket prices and Walt Disney extended stay hotels wi World has even introduced a bit of ticket tiering, extended stay hotels wi or price discrimination as it can be called in economic terms. After I write this I'm going to update the Magic Your Way Tickets page, but let's take a look at the recent price increase at both parks.
The most notable changes seem to have occurred to the one-day tickets. At Disneyland Resort, the one-day, one-park ticket is now $92 for adults (ages 10 and up) and $86 for those between the ages of 3 and 9. The Park Hopper Option extended stay hotels wi can be added for $45 per ticket. Anyways, the big fuss is at Walt Disney World where the one-day ticket has been split up into two types of tickets. Now, one-day tickets to Magic Kingdom Park will be $95 ($89 for those ages 3-9), while one-day tickets to Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, extended stay hotels wi and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park will be $90 (just $84 for those ages 3-9), which is just a $1 price increase. Bare in mind that this "tiered" pricing is only for the one-day ticket. Adding the Park Hopper Option will bring the ticket to $129 ($123 for those ages 3-9) for all four theme parks. Adding the Water Park Fun More Option instead of the Park Hopper will bring the ticket to $149 ($143 for those ages 3-9). Adding extended stay hotels wi both brings the ticket up to $174 for adults (ages 10 and up) and $168 for those ages 3-9.
Obviously, this is a move to encourage guests to stay in the theme parks multiple days and buy multi-day tickets, as those increases were significantly more modest. There is no theme park differentiation for multi-day tickets meaning the price of a 2-day ticket does not change depending on which theme parks you use it in. Here is the new official multi-day ticket pricing for 2014. These prices do not include tax.
As you can see, the No Expiration Option is still available though extended stay hotels wi not online. The other two options only increases extended stay hotels wi by $2. Otherwise, everything else doesn't have huge increases. Florida Resident tickets are still limited to 3- and 4-day tickets with the extremely limiting blockout dates, which are 6/8/13-8/15/13; 12/19/13-1/3/14; 4/12/14-4/25/14; 6/7/14-8/14/14; 12/18/14-1/2/15. Those prices are now at $179 ($167 for those ages 3-9) and $199 ($187 for those ages 3-9), respectively. Obviously, the No Expiration Option is still not available for Florida Residents but both other options are now $29.50. These reduced extended stay hotels wi add-ons can still be added on to one-day tickets but are indeed taken from the same one-day ticketing structure extended stay hotels wi for the general public (meaning Florida Residents still have to pay the $5 surcharge to visit Magic Kingdom Park). Both options added together add $59 to the one-day ticket.
In the annual pass world, standard annual passes for the general public are $609 (unbelievable!) with the same prices for those ages 3-9 as those ages 10 and up. For the Premium Annual Pass you'll need to fork over $729. For Florida Residents, the Seasonal Pass is now $309 with the same blockout dates as the standard Florida extended stay hotels wi Resident tickets. extended stay hotels wi Additionally, the standard Florida Resident annual pass is now $464 with the Florida Resident Premium Annual Pass coming in at $584. Again, those don't even include tax. Other Florida Resident annual passes saw price increases as well.
If all of that isn't good enough for you, park has gone up $1 to $15 ($16 for campers and trailers); the price is the same for a single stroller. Should you purchase a length of stay pass for your stroller extended stay hotels wi rental, the single stroller price-per-day goes down to $13. Double Strollers are $31 or $27 per day should you purchase a length of stay pass. Also, theme park lockers are $7 per day with "large lockers" coming in at $9 per day. Interestingly enough, water park lockers are now $8 per day with "large lockers" now costing $10 per day. Lockers for all theme and water parks still require a $5 refundable deposit covering the key. Wheelchairs are $12 per day, but if you purchase the length-of-stay pass, you get it for $10. Finally, ECVs are $50 per day with a $20 refundable deposit.
That's it for Walt Disney World, but there were some changes to the pricing over at Disneyland Resort as well. As stated, both parks are both $92 for a one-day ticket extended stay hotels wi for those ages 10 and up. Adding the Park Hopper Option is $45. Moving on to multi-day tickets, these will still require a photo ID and expire 13 days after first use. Here's the pricing chart for that. There is no tax for theme park tickets in California.
In the annual pass world, price increases were not horrible. Premium Annual Passes are now $669 and Deluxe Annual Passes are now $499. As you probably know, the Deluxe pass has blockout dates, but passholders can purchase a blockout day ticket for $84. Residents of Southern California can purchase a Southern California Annual Pass for $359 and a Southern California Select Pass for $279. All of which except the Premium Annual Pass do have blockout dates. These can be found on the official Disneyland Annual Pass Webpage . Pricing is the same for those ages 3-9 as those ages 10 and above. Also, monthly extended stay hotels wi payment plans are still available for all annual passes. Discounts and such seem to be the same for the time being as well, but I'm not entirely sure that won't change. The Annual Passholder Parking Pass is now $139 by the way. However, other than that, no other immediate changes to the annual passes seem to have been made. This could change in the coming weeks and months though.
Anyways, parking has gone up a bit as well. Cars and motorcycles now will be charged $16 for parking, while "oversized vehicles", motor homes, and tractors extended stay hotels wi without trailers will be charged $21 for the day. Getting even more expensive, buses and tractors with extended trailers will be charged $26 for parking. I guess that's really bad news for the large percentage of Disneyland visitors who drive to the park with their tractors. Viva la revolución!
Finally, the Disney Premier Passport, allowing year-long admission to all Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, water parks, and more , has increased to $979. No discounts are available for these, unfortunately. That really wraps up this year's price increase.
That's about it. I could go on a long rant about how expensive and over-priced Disney is becoming, but quite frankly, I still find it to be a very enjoyable destination despite the high price; I would just warn the theme parks to proceed with extreme extended stay hotels wi caution, extended stay hotels wi as we're on course for a price increase that will be the $100 psychological barrier for one-day tickets within the next few years.
