This endorsement comes just three weeks before the Mayor and City Commission will vote to choose a developer, giving Portman-CMC additional momentum.
"It is our opinion the greatest economic impact for the City of Miami Beach as well as all of South Florida will be attained by the selection of the Portman proposal," said Ken McAvoy, Senior Vice President of Reed Exhibitions.
Among other attributes, Mr. McAvoy pointed to the flexibility of the exhibit hall configuration, the vertical flow between exhibition and meeting space, the loading dock design, and the introduction of catwalks in the exhibition area as reasons why Reed Exhibitions supports Portman-CMC's vision for the Miami Beach Convention Center district.
