When I decided to go to Disneyworld in December I had to plan it quick and efficiently.  I only had 2.5 days and I wanted to see everything, or at least as much as I could.   I had been to Orlando, Florida when I was 10 years old, but as we all know, things seem like a completely different world when you re 10.  Not only that, but Disneyworld had been updated a lot since I was last there, with new rides, new attractions, and of course phoenix airport hotel more adult rides that I never rode as a kid.
As I rounded up my good friend Erich Chen as my go-to travel phoenix airport hotel buddy, we booked a cheap flight on United, cheap hotel near Downtown Disney, and then got our expensive tickets to the park.  Yes, It s not like Disneyland where there are only 2 parks and Costco is selling some discounted rate.  It s 4 parks, and you get a Park Hopper ticket for about $145 a Day.  We narrowed it down, and decided to skip the newly opened Fantasyland area of Magic Kingdom.  This is more for the kids, and is very similar to Disneyland.  Hollywood Studios Disney sounded fun, but again we had to make decisions about which ones to see first.  So our priority went to Animal Kingdom and Epcot.
We arrived on our first evening at Downtown Disney and explored the area.  We had a great meal at T-Rex, Dinosaur themed phoenix airport hotel place owned by the same company that owns Rainforest Cafe.  We then played some video games at the Disney Quest 4 floor arcade at the end.  Fun stuff as everything was free for unlimited amount of time, but we got a discount as it was only 2 hours before closing for $20.  Downtown Disney was long and lots of things to see, with Christmas related items since this was in December.  It was fun and not too cold at all.
Animal Kingdom in Disneyworld was our first stop the next morning, after having a quick breakfast buffet with Goofy. phoenix airport hotel  We arrived early that morning to get all the major rides in and walk around the giant circular lake.  It seems like most of the parks include some lake or water feature, even Downtown Disney was along a waterway.  My favorite ride was definitely the Expedition Everest Roller Coaster.  So much fun, and had a few surprises.  As we walked around, we also noticed how cool the details on the walls were, the rags hanging from trees and backpack decor.  This area felt like we were truly traveling to the middle of Asia.  We loved that as you walked phoenix airport hotel around, you also saw lots of animals just off to the sides between rides.  So you got monkeys on secluded islands with giant rope playgrounds or exotic birds in caged walkthrough forests.  We definitely took out time and even found a Tiger to pose for us during a moment where everyone had left but us and the Tiger stopped pacing back and forth and stood up to look through the window back at us.  We took a safari and saw giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, and so much more.  It was truly a little safari expedition in the middle of this giant park.  We rode a few more rides and continued on to Epcot after a few goofy photos of us.
We remember Epcot as being a world of many worlds.  11 different countries were represented here and each location actually had employees from these actual countries.  So while we sat and ate authentic phoenix airport hotel Italian woodfire pizza, the waiter told us about his city and how long he d been in Florida.  It was very cool to know that Disney has this type of program.  We continued to see Mexico, Morocco, Norway, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, China, US Colonial years, phoenix airport hotel Canada, and France.  Erich insisted on going to the United phoenix airport hotel Kingdom area just to hear their accents.  :-)  After a few fun rides, and a few not so fun rides, specifically Mission SPACE, a ride that simulated a trip to Mars.  Not recommended as this was the only ride at a Disney park that I ve seen with Barf bags available in the seat.  We didn t feel so good after this ride so we took a break and walked phoenix airport hotel around some more.  The Aquarium at the Finding Nemo ride was very amazing, phoenix airport hotel and something I didn t expect.  We went inside the famous Epcot ball ride and it was just as boring as I remember.  It even broke down for 5 minutes, giving Erich a moment to take a little nap.  I swore it did this when I was 10 too.
