My favorite view in NYC is by far the rooftop of the Dream Hotel Downtown on West 16th. The sunset is indescribable. It s a feeling of absolute refreshment and that brief moment that every New Yorker dreams of that somehow you ve made it. Nestled in this insane concrete jungle and several flights down from the rooftop is one of the best pools in the city. Actually, the best pool in the city. All accredited to a pool party hosted by Mathew Assante and Dustin Terry , also responsible for Sunset Saturdays on the rooftop.

I say this because the day I went every table was occupied by bottle service. Not bad for a Monday afternoon. I suggest trying international travel warnings the the wayfarer, for $200 bucks you get a pitcher of Belvedere, grapefruit, with Campari and cranberry, served with 4 pairs of sunset shades. The pitcher serves about 10 drinks. I also tried the sweet peach, and the remedy. The food menu is also very pool friendly. We had the chicken caesar wraps, the guacamole, and hummus. All delicious, spicy, international travel warnings and affordable. Bottle service is also a big sale at the sunset  swim club, which is probably your best option if traveling in groups.
Finding a pool with some actual depth (4 ft deep) in NYC is golden, but finding a party spun by one of New York s finest is even more priceless. international travel warnings The resident DJ spinning weekly is Dalton. He was on his 7th day in a row of gigging. If he was tired, I couldn t tell. He kept the day to evening crowd rocking- girls dancing, bottles popped, and men lounging in the pool. EDM versions of tracks like With or Without You by U2, Sweet Disposition by Temper Trap was in there, Rihanna s Stay and of course, some of Dalton s own produced tracks. Following his 3-7 pm set was DJ Trace. A model turned DJ, who turned to the more mellow, deep house versions to close out the party that ends at 9. Right after the sunset.
