The Coast Blackcomb turkey travel Suites at Whistler is a real find. We d been to the hotel a few winters ago, back when it was a Marriott hotel. We d done the ski-in, turkey travel ski-out and welcoming jacuzzi after a day on the slopes.
Staying at this property in winter is wonderful. There s a walkway to the left of the pool area that leads first to a ski storage area (with ski shop and equipment rental), and then to the slope. Ski or board down to catch the chairlift. I can remember turkey travel how great it was to take that last run down and veer to the right, back into the hotel!
This time, we were in town for Feast in the Mountains , a yearly foodie event that was held in Rebagliati turkey travel Park. Coast was the perfect choice for our weekend plans, as the event was about a 10 minute walk down the mountain. The hotel is situated at the very top of Painted Cliff Road in the Upper Village.
The Whistler Village shuttle leaves (and arrives) right from the hotel entrance twice an hour. Upon check-in, we were given a shuttle timetable. The front lobby staff were friendly and our check-in was quick. Underground secured parking is available at $15/day.
The hotel offers 186 suites, all including turkey travel kitchen facilities and a balcony. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, which was very spacious and located away from the pool (which can get busy during the summer months). The room is equipped with a gas fireplace and the bathroom turkey travel contains a deep tub, something not found at all hotels. After a busy day of activity, this was a welcoming turkey travel treat.
High-speed wireless internet was for the most part reliable, but my husband sometimes experienced slow periods when using his iPad. The room s windows are outfitted with screens and have wooden shutters on them, adding to the chalet feel of the area. Included in the hotel price is a full buffet breakfast. We took ours to the room and enjoyed it with freshly brewed coffee made in our kitchen. We had a beautiful view of the mountains from our balcony.
We never felt rushed to leave the room. After breakfast, we relaxed on the balcony with a second turkey travel cup of coffee and the Globe and Mail . They too are free and available near the breakfast area early each morning. We found a fresh plate of warm cookies in the afternoons by the front desk. Coffee, tea, and juice are always available as well.
Our king sized bed was very comfortable, and mattress about medium firm. Even though the hotel was booked to capacity due to a private event, we weren t kept up by noise at night. Rooms are comfortably climate-controlled.
This hotel is also very child and pet-friendly. You can bring your dog along and pay a nominal fee for cleaning. Kids will love the pool and two jacuzzis. turkey travel There s also an onsite workout room with fitness equipment.
Whistler draws crowds during every season, and this hotel is no exception. There s a 1,200 square foot room that can seat up to 60 for either catered events or meetings. This hotel caters to just about everybody.
We didn t use the laundry rooms but they can be found on four of the hotel s six floors. A large BBQ area is located on the way to the pool. The kitchens turkey travel are equipped with enough plates, cooking utensils, and cutlery to enjoy a home grilled meal.
