If you look at a standard MBTA map, the stations, for the most part, are evenly spaced, and thus, one could assume each station above ground is evenly spaced, as well. This is a great infographic! Looking at the relative difference in time from downtown to, say, Alewife vs. Boston branson lodging cabins College, I couldn't branson lodging cabins help but be reminded of the London Underground map. When the iconic diagrammatic map (as in circuit diagram, rather than a true map) was first created in the 1930s, it drove a bit of an exodus to the suburbs, because the outlying stations appeared closer branson lodging cabins to London center than they actually were. That influenced people's perception of the distance between them, just like this map might cause people to rethink living at the end of one line over another due to the relative difference in travel times.
I commute from Central Sq to Park St every day and usually figure on taking 15 minutes (that's assuming no major delays, which we all know is wishful thinking most of the time). I was running late this morning, but timed it just for kicks: the doors opened in Central at 9:31 and I stepped out at Park St at 9:37. That's probably as well as you're going to do, but the infographic's creator did say these times were based on off-peak schedules and your results may vary, so I'd say 20 minutes to Harvard Sq is doable when there's no interference.
This map also doesn't seem to add much insight besides branson lodging cabins the Green line distances which most folks already know or quickly find out upon using the T. Not many tourists are traveling to Riverside so not sure how useful that information is for one-time or limited time users. Cute graphic though.
