Peace Place was really great. It was clean, quiet, felt like a home and not a plain old house. The only thing that I would change would be the heating of the pool. I had small children and it needed to be heated for this time of year but it was very costly for the amount of time that we stayed so we could not have it heated. A discount would have made it easier to afford for an extended stay. But other than that it was a great place and I would very much like to go back next year.

As you know, David and I try so hard to make all our guests very comfortable and I am sad to read you could not use the pool due to heating costs. We charge $35 p/d, however, we discount depending on how many days you require. My apologies this was not made clear at the time.
Being from PA, i had no previous knowledge about Destin, FL. Owners David and Kathrine were really great to work with from day one. The house is really great for large groups of all ages. The house is in a perfect location and has everything you may need to feel at home. David set us up with a great day on " Crab island" by renting one of his boats. This place was so much more than we expected. Great pool, size, kitchen, patio, landscaping, outside lighting and showers. The beach is only 2 blocks away and a beautiful walk. Plenty of pool toys for the kids so no need to bring any beach chairs as well. We had a couple mishaps and the maintenance people were on it. I would stay again and I hated to leave. The staff at harmony beach are awesome as well.
Tortuga was everything we were expecting it to be. The place was clean and comfortable for our group of seventeen had plenty of space for family games in the evening. The AC was more than adequate and the kitchen was up to date and all the appliances were top notch.

Just checked out this morning. We stayed a Peace Place for a small reunion of Navy Air Traffic Controllers assigned to the USS America in 1986. Most of us haven't seen each other since 1989. This home and the owners were amazing to us. It offered plenty of room for late night dinners, time lounging around the pool, beach access and tons of new memories. A special thank you to the staff at Harmony and a heart felt thanks to the owners for a.beautiful home. Don't walk there, RUN and make it your place to stay in Destin.
We are a large family with 7 mostly grown children and PP was plenty of space for us to spread out. Having the pool heated really made a difference because it was unseasonably cold some of the days that we were here. The beds were very comfortable and the whole house was clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything that we need to have home cooked meals which is the highlight for the kids.
