Seven years ago, I came to Houston for the very first time on a business trip. Now, as a local living in the Houston suburbs, I don t go downtown very often, and had never heard of the Hotel Icon , before our #GoHouston stay cation.  It baffles me that I was unfamiliar with them, since they are a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel. Which means, I can earn points when staying there, and redeem points for a stay there .like maybe a romantic getaway!
Hotel Icon is now at the top of my list, for a romantic getaway, between the beautiful, whirlpool bathtub, disney world resort hotels combination of historical and contemporary elements, great food, and world class service, its actually the only place on my list. And it just so happens that they have a special Kiss and Tell package offer at the moment, which includes:  one dozen long-stem roses, one of the city’s most romantic rooms, a bottle of chilled champagne with strawberries and cream, breakfast in bed for two and a late 1 PM checkout. Located near the business, theater, legal and sports districts, you can walk, bike, or enjoy a complimentary ride to lots of nearby attractions. Visitors looking to explore and exercise, should check out the  Houston Bcycle station  nearby. It s also the only downtown hotel on the 7.5 mile, state-of-the-art METROrail light rail line.  If you don t have a car, you can easily take the METRO  to the Museum District, Children’s Zoo,Hermann Park, and the Reliant Center to see the Texans play! The hotel also offers a complimentary disney world resort hotels car service to attractions in the city.

During my recent stay, they were hosting disney world resort hotels a Microsoft conference, and the valet vaguely mentioned Bill Gates, but truly, I don t think it matters who you are, the staff at Hotel Icon treats everyone like rock stars!
