As its name suggests, Hotel Aria is a music-themed resort located in the heart of Prague 1, the city center. The building was once one of the main theaters of the city. The top floor is home to CODA, where Chef David Sasek uses local ingredients to create some of the finest Czech fare you will ever taste. Staying as a guest at this hotel is out of most tourists prices range, but the lunch menu is significantly less expensive than the dinner menu, and you can also see a 360-degree view of the city from your table on the terrace. Reservations are required and lunch for two will cost about 700-1000 czk ($35-50), pricier than the pub down the street, but the view and the ambiance of this musically-inclined hotel are worth it.

The National Theater is the venue for ballet classics: Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. The theater is a stunning example of neo-Renaissance architecture abundant in Prague. Back then, when ballet was the social event of the season, men wore tails, ladies wore gowns. Such attire is no longer expected, but dress more formal than a T-shirt and blue jeans. Grab a glass of champagne or a sandwich during intermission. Tickets in many price ranges are available online.
