It's a question we're asked every December and, we get it, it's an important one -- where can we see fireworks on New Year's Eve ? Just standing on The Strip is a good idea, but where is an important factor, especially with towering resorts continental airlines cheap flights all around.
This year, just like the past two, fireworks will launch from the rooftops of seven resorts: Stratosphere , Treasure Island , the Venetian , Caesars Palace , Planet Hollywood , Aria , and MGM Grand . The entire production will last eight minutes and 23 seconds.
Remember, for the sake of your neck, the last place you want to be is at the base of any of these hotels. If you can't see the fireworks from your room or from one of the many NYE parties with views (think Diablo's rooftop deck party , Cosmo's Boulevard Pool bash , Ghostbar's shindig , etc.), our advice would be to try to position yourself so you have a view down the Strip and let the lights of the casino complement the explosions in the sky. Set up shop outside CityCenter on Las Vegas Boulevard to get a view of the displays at Aria, Planet Hollywoood, and MGM Grand, or hang around The Mirage to see fireworks from Treasure Island, the Venetian, and Caesars.
