I created this website for those parents out there who feel that their days of traveling to far off
I really do try to reduce, reuse and recycle, but I have one big vice. That vice is the resealable Ziploc bag. I absolutely love them for travel. It begins with the packing of my 3oz (100ml) liquid containers for security screening and carries on to house and partition many other things in my luggage. Sometimes I just drop a whole pile in my suitcase for a little thrifty car rental australia je ne sais quoi along the way. I have not been able to break this habit despite owning several alternatives, including a reusable TSA approved clear screening bag and a set of mesh packing cubes for my clothes. Yes, I sometime rinse the Ziplocs out and reuse them, but then again, sometimes I don t. On these lazy occasions, I wait until no one is looking (especially my tattling children) and I shove them in the garbage can. This is followed by about 20 minutes of self-loathing.
My thanks go out to the Pint Size Pilot reader who gently prodded thrifty car rental australia me in a new direction by introducing me to an excellent alternative from the Canadian company Nic Elli. Their water resistant wet bags come in a variety of sizes and prints. Over the past few months I have been using the small ones for my children s snacks (anything from crackers to cucumber slices) and a big one to carry around wet swimsuits after a visit to the water park or the beach. Once I get home, I simply thrifty car rental australia rinse them out, and hang them up to dry for their next use.
The outer layer of the bags is a cotton print and the inside is lined with food safe PUL, that is made in the USA. The bags are free from BPA, lead, phthalates and meet CPSIA and OEKO-TEX 100 standards. They start at about $7 each and can be purchased from this facebook page or by emailing : tinyfootprintbaby@gmail.com . Nic Elli also make some great diapers and bibs.
I created this website for those parents out there who feel that their days of traveling to far off exotic places should not end simply because they now have a mini me in tow. I call out to this nomadic tribe who do not subscribe to the idea that the next ten years of travel should involve only theme parks and diners.
After logging 50 flights over 6 years with two little ones, I found that there were so many small things a parent could do to make travel easier. I have seen a mother collapse in a fit of tears, another stop speaking to her husband half way through the flight and threaten divorce by the end, a parent suggest that they would like to "punch their neighbor thrifty car rental australia in the chops" before the flight left the ground, and another who just self medicated with lots of wine. While I have nothing against wine, as for the other scenarios, well, in most cases they can be avoided. It is my goal to provide you with the resources in the form of advice, helpful links, and products that allow you to have it all, without having a nervous breakdown.
