Funny how Ford now have the Brand New Model out all shiney and sparkly with all the new wizz bang ge

Mr McDonald said dealers would disable the defective cruise control systems and repair them with a permanent replacement. He admitted some owners would have to return to the dealer twice to complete the two-stage process, as replacement rental car companies parts are expected to arrive in Australia progressively rental car companies over the next couple of months.
Ford Australia says it will write to all owners of PK Ranger XLT and Wildtrak rental car companies vehicles at their last known address, and says owners of PJ and PK Ranger vehicles will be contacted by the Ford dealer who installed the system in their vehicle.
I was advised that Cruise Control would not be fitted at this first service rental car companies as advised by the salesman at point of sale. No advice is available rental car companies as to when cruise control rental car companies problems will be rectified. I requested a rebate on the purchase price, rental car companies but was was informed that Ford were no longer offering this rebate. I have information suggesting that the rebate was/is to the order of $900 . I will be vigorously pursuing this option.
Bought my PK 2nd hand from dealer in Feb 11. was not told at time of sale that the cruise had been disconnected. when I took it back they then told me that it had previously been recalled and disconnected. Was also told that they had no idea when it would be fixed. Emailed Ford Customer service to express my disgust, and was told that there was no eta on a fix. Contacted them this month (more than 6 months after initial contact) and asked what the f was going on! They looked up my VIN number and told me that they did not have my personal details (dealership must not have passed them on!). Their solution to my anger .we will send you a letter to let you know of the $900.00 rebate or you can wait for the fix and have one free vehicle service. Great customer service skills Ford D*%kheads!!!!
Same issues as u guys with my ranger regarding bonnet and cruise rental car companies control. They have no idea when will b resolved.. U have the right idea with a refund request on this accessory. What have ford said about this please? Ta Gary.
I have been in contact with Ford s Customer relations people rental car companies who have been most helpful. After listening to my story, they allocated a case number rental car companies and, after a few weeks advised me that I would be paid a rebate of $900 for the non-supply rental car companies of cruise control.
!. The dealer did not advise me of the recall on the cruise control for this vehicle at the point of sale. I was able to document this with reference to a string of supporting emails. I m not sure if this worked rental car companies in my favour in achieving a rebate, but it s worth noting.
2. The dealer was of little help and did not return a number of calls. rental car companies (Including the Sales Consultant , the Sales Manager and the Service Manager). It was on the basis of this lack of after sales follow-up that I pursued the matter through Ford s Customer Relations people.
3. I have now been advised rental car companies that $900 will be deposited into my account next week and, on the basis of that assurance, I have purchased rental car companies an after market Cruise Control Unit that has set me back a little less than the rebated $900. So far, it has performed perfectly!
A mate who purchased an identical vehicle in Victoria (I m in NSW) at the same time, has been following my progress and, after a couple of phone calls, has been assured that he will also soon have $900 in his pocket. He is also chasing up an aftermarket unit. His dealer( in Melbourne s western suburbs has been a lot more accommodating and pro-active than my dealer (in Sydney s southern suburbs).
In summary, I have found that Ford Customer rental car companies Relations has dealt with me fairly and reasonably, even though I didn t get the outcome I wanted rental car companies ( A Ford supplied rental car companies and fitted cruise control). rental car companies I am disappointed with the performance of the dealer!
Purchased rental car companies Ford XLT Ranger in February this year. Noticed recall notice in local paper and rang dealer. Dealer was apparently unaware then later got back to me to confirm. I was initially told it doesn t affect me, then told it did. I made sure I noted that it was paid for and not fitted at time of purchase. Received letter from Ford Corporate three and half months later saying that my vehicle was being recalled becasue of the problem with the cruise and offering me the option of waiting until early 2012 (no guarantees)with compensation of next service cost or accepting $900 (and going away)without any additional compensation for inconvenience of not having what I paid for. Not happy.
Wrote a letter to Ford Corporate 3 weeks ago seeking rental car companies more information and some assurances. No response as yet. Ford customer relations very polite and understanding but can only reiterate what corporate is telling them. Local dealer very understanding and have not tried any swifty s (yet). Again, their hands are tied.
I have been having trouble with the fly by wire, the engine light comes on and the vehicle rental car companies pig roots, which can be dangerouse when in heavy traffic as it would launch when you moved off the mark from a stop.
Intitially thought that both sensors being pedal and engine were argueing over who was doing what speed. My cure up to this week was with the trusty shifter, disconnect the postive lead count to 10 and put it back on, it clears the pig root but leaves the engine light on, that goes out up to 24 hours later.
If you get one fitted make sure that the wires are soldered into the loom or the same will eventually happen to you. The boys beleive that the poor wiring interferes with the message being sent by the pedal.
Well looks like I m not the only one in this boat, all of the above pertain to my experiance with Dealers and Ford Aust, I purchased my PK XLT new in Nov 2010 yep and now in Jan 2012 I m still waiting for a fix, time and time again conversations with Ford and Dealer about information passed between the two have still not resolved the issue of when on purchase of my Ranger it was not fitted with CC as there was no units to fit as suppliers had changed so as soon as they were to be available, mine would be fitted. Sure as shit the recall happened I got the letter 04 Feb 2011, so I took the truck in and they put a recall sticker on truck. Then my mate who also got a PK asked if I had recieved rental car companies a letter from Ford about the 2 choices offered, as I hadn t, I chased it up only to be informed that according to Ford database my PK was not fitted with nor was it suppose to as it was ordered with no CC, my responce was a little less polite and I rang the dealer to ask WTF, upon talking to PA of the Dealer principle I was assured this issue will be sorted. A return call from her stated that yes my truck was to have CC as it was a condition of sale and at that time was listed as OME in the sale price of $38990 . well to date to cut a long story short the issue is still ongoing i.e. Ford s database has not been update, I have not recieved any corrospondence, i still have no CC 13months later, I spoke to the Dealer this morning and was told they will chase it up.
Funny how Ford now have the Brand New Model out all shiney and sparkly with all the new wizz bang gear in it they have now forgotten about all the loyal customers they have left behind rental car companies with the incomplete truck they sold previous .. this issue will probably just die a natural death so as forf Aust will never have to deal with it and get away scott free. Assholes. Might just have to give Tracey Grimshaw rental car companies a call.
had old cruise taken out by ford dealer he also fitted a whis bang after market cruise control six months later now real problems getting it fixed engine light comes on engine shuders rental car companies then takes of down the road at 100ks have to turn inigition off to stop it
I am the owner of a PK  Ranger. The cruse control situation is typical of what goes on in Australia! High bank charges, fuel price increases on weekends, public holidays, why i ask ?  The usual answer because they have always done it no one complains , just take it ,18 months to fix the cruse control problem ?   .I  just think you lads are used to having you pants pulled down !
