We will be relocating to Toronto on the 19th April. Can anyone recommend any car rental best hotels in italy companies that offer good rates for long term car hire - we will require a minimum of 3 months up to 1 year and may even require 2 cars (but initially one).

I anticipate this to be a minimum of 3 months Plus I know that we have to convert our driving licenses and the quotes that I received for insurance were crazy today as we have been living abroad for 7 years. Where we are now (Malaysia) and even in the uk if you commit to a long term rental the rate reduces drastically I thought places might be the same in Canada ie we pay for 14days rental in kuala

Car rental rates are higher in the summer and deals are few and far between. Also if you take out the rental insurance for extra liability and collision, this can be nearly as much as the rental. Many rentals companies best hotels in italy have minimum liability, in BC for example, minimum is $200,000, I carry $5m on our vehicles and for rentals have a policy that covers $3m, which is as low as I would be comfortable.
