Our two-story, three bedroom, one and a half bath house (sleeps two to eight) is available for rent on a weekend or weekly basis for leaf-peeping and Catskills hiking in the fall, skiing Belleayre Mountain (one mile away - inquire about our Ski and Stay discounts), Hunter Mountain (20 miles), Plattekill 12 miles) or Wyndham (45 min) in the winter (with a fireplace to warm you up at night after a long day on the mountain), a quiet spring retreat to enjoy our huge front deck or patio for barbecues in back, or as a cool, comfortable summer house only 3 miles from a beautiful mountain lake with a white sand beach, lifeguards, and boat rentals (Belleayre Beach at Pine Hill Lake), and 15 min. from Tubing on the Esopus!
We are just a short drive from Phoenicia, Woodstock, and Margaretville for shopping, dining, and river tubing, and 130 miles from New York City (about two and a half hours from the GW bridge), plus summer concerts in Belleayre every weekend from July Fourth to Labor Day. 1/4 Mile from NYC bus route, 2 blocks from public get up and go tours alaska pool, soccer/baseball fields, basketball court and 4 tennis courts, and 2 blocks from a fun antiques auction on saturday nights.
And YES, since you ask, Fleischmanns is still here! News of it's death have been greatly exaggerated. Yes, the village was hard hit by floods from tropical storms Irene and Lee, and some people lost everything, get up and go tours alaska but businesses are open on main street, the cleanup was swift, and the village lives on!

We enjoyed our stay at the Catskill Ski House very much. It has all the amenities--completely equipped kitchen, washer & dryer, wifi, etc., and a great wood burning fireplace in the living room. We didn't use it, of course, get up and go tours alaska as there was no need for heating in June, but the owner says it is great in the winter and can heat the entire house even when freezing get up and go tours alaska outside!
The weather was great for us--delightfully cooler than NYC. But in spite of cloudiness much of the time, we only had a few showers, and were able to go on hikes and picnics get up and go tours alaska or explore other towns in the area, such as Woodstock and Phoenicia, without weather stopping us at all.
Margaretville is only about 10 miles away and very convenient for full grocery shopping at Freshtown, a very complete supermarket. We especially liked a couple of little eateries there and bought some things at the Catskill Mountain Artists Guild gallery in the town center.
Restaurants: There are 2 very good Mexican ones in Fleischmanns, a good wood-fired get up and go tours alaska pizza place on the way to Margaretville, the Peekamoose on Hwy 28 about 8-10 miles toward Kingston--weird name but great food for a special meal. And so on.
We rented the house for the weekend to celebrate ou 20th anniversary. It was a very hot weekend, but the downstairss stayed comfortable with the fans and air conditioning in the bedroom worked great. The bed in the master bedroom was super comfortable. The house was very clean with very specific instructions. The houses' close proximity to hiking and golf made it the right place for us. The owners were very accomodating.
Owner was very pleasant to deal with, was true to his word. and delivered all that he promised. We appreciated the detailed instructions to assure our having a pleasant experience. All modern appliances are in working order. The house is clean and cozy. We especially enjoyed the delightful deck and made use of the Wifi and extensive selection of books. We were 100 % satisfied.
The house was very convenient to use, had well posted instructions, a lovely back yard and front porch for sitting outdoors and a cozy living room indoors. The kitchen was fully stocked and a pleasure to use. The dining room was perfect for our needs.
We all enjoyed not only the skiing but also your house also. IT'S PERFECT. From the bedroom, kitchen, dining room to the living get up and go tours alaska room, TV cable, DVD, radio and specially the fireplace with lot of wood, candles in all rooms, and the memory foam mattress. It's so warming. Your house is very clean and well taken care of. Every detail is thought of. I would definitely recommend to others and come back again. One more thing, the road and houses around yours are very nice. Somehow there's a sense of well being during the stay in your house.
Lovely, lovely house! We had a great time. The house is very comfortable and beautifully decorated with the various colors. I found all the furniture comfortable and managed to fall asleep just about anywhere I sat or laid down.
We had a great stay in the Catskill Ski House! The house was very cozy, especially with the fireplace on. We had two great days skiing and snowboarding. We loved that the house was so close to the mountain. Thank you for a great place to stay on New Years!
