Okay since Maureen took the day off from work, we decided to cover a bit more of the city. We made our way down to the Boston Aqaurium. Man that place looks huge. We were gonna go in, but then we saw the long lines of school kids. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind kids at all nor does Maureen. But hundreds of them are a whole another story. I could just imagine trying to see some of the displays being like ten deep behind the kids, so we decided to try something else.
And since we had a few hours to kill before our Duck Tour, we decided to have lunch at Legal Seafoods (a local chain). I must say, it was a pretty damn good crab roll. We were gonna try for a whale sight seeing tour, but the hours conflicted with the duck tour. Besides Maureen says this time of year, you can hop on the local ferry and have a good chance of seeing whales.
We hopped back onto the green line and headed towards the Science Museum. I love science museums, they are the best places for young kids to hand out. So much to do and learn. This was were we get tickets for the famous Duck Tours. These tours are a little traveling nurse over ninety minutes long. You tour parts of downtown Boston and parts of the Charles River, since the vehicle you are in can go on both land and water. And each one of the tour guides is a character onto themselves.
After the tour, back on the green line we go and headed back to Harvard Square. When we get there, Maureen takes me to yet another famous burger place called Bartley's. traveling nurse Yes I tend to eat out a lot when I am on vacation. I just diet like hell once I am back home :-)
