Underage Renters age 21-24 will be subject to a 20.00/day + tax USD underage surcharge. A deposit of

First post! Woop!... anyway, las vegas sightseeing tours now that that's aside... I am just wondering if Cozumel and/or PDC have car rentals that will rent to a 21 and 22 year old? I have been to both places twice (2009-2010) and was with people that were 25+ and getting a rental was no problem, however, this March there will only be the two of us. I will be needed a car from March.6-8 in Cozumel, and probably only one day in PDC, March.12 or 13th. Either way, again, the question is if there are any agencies that will rent to under 25, I realize that most will but require a ridiculous deposit of $2000 if your under 25, which I don't know if I am willing to give, maybe a place that requires less of a deposit? Anyway, thank to everyone in advance!
I think 25 is the standard age for renting a car - without having to leave a wad for a deposit IF they even allow that - because of liabilities and insurance costs. I looked at several companies and they all said 25 and over. But if you don't rent a car, you can hire a taxi and driver who will take you wherever you want to go.
Underage Renters age 21-24 will be subject to a 20.00/day + tax USD underage surcharge. A deposit of 2,000.00 USD will be charged at time of pick up. CDW deductible is 15% of the value of the vehicle and LDW is not available to underage renters.
Thanks Shammy! Yeah... las vegas sightseeing tours those were the same agencies that I was looking at, and I basically just want to go and spend a few hours at the reggae beach and a few hours at San Fransisco beach... and maybe the lighthouse as well? Would you happen to have any idea on how much a taxi would cost to those places? I would also like to go to San Gervasio again as well, but, I suppose I could just jump on a tour for that. Playa isn't as big of a deal for the rental because most things are within walking distance of our condo there, and we are just going to take a day tour to Chitzen Itza and/or Tulum, and don't necessarily need to drive myself... even though it feels more adventurous that way... which is why I would like one in Cozumel the most... blah!
If you're going to drive around the island and make a few stops here and there, most people hire a driver for the day who will take them where they want and hang out until they're ready to move to the next place. las vegas sightseeing tours That price is arranged with the driver so I really can't tell you what the price would be. There are taxi's available by the ferry, las vegas sightseeing tours but if you're on the main drag, I'm sure you could find one in that area as well, and ask about pricing. I bet it would be less to hire a driver than rent a car with all the added fees they want to charge for being under 25.
Alright, right on, you've definitely made me worry a lot less knowing that the taxi is always an option! Your definitely right though, it would probably be cheaper to just take the taxi option in the long run anyhow after all the added costs and fees. Thanks so much!
