We moved from our hotel that was on the coast of Dublin to a hotel in downtown. Much like busy streets of SF but waay more scenic! We walked to everything today. Started with a tour of Dublin Castle, then walked through the shopping district (didn't see a Michael Khors, Mom!) and finished up with a tour that took us to more of the business district of Dublin. After the tours most of us rushed to the pubs to watch the USA soccer game! Such a great experience. Most people around here were going for Germany. Sticking to their European ties, I guess! Just such a fun time hanging with all of my American "family" cheering on our home country! what are some web sites for cheap airline tickets After the game we walked to Abbey Theatre where we watched the play 'Aristocrats.' It was quite nice; we had front row tickets in the large theatre! We were all so tired it was hard to appreciate the greatness of the play, but it was a cool experience getting to be that close to live acting. A few of the girls and I finished the night by just coming back to the hotel pub and relaxing. Getting to know people from other parts of the US has been my absolute favorite part. Crazy how differing the cultures are even within our own country!
